  1. I have always liked Gallardo but my vote is no. I think that retiring a number has got to be reserved for someone who is also a Hall of Famer. I know there are examples around baseball where this isn't the case, but that is my personal standard for eternally honoring a guy. Jimmy Gantner also played for the team long enough to be a top ten leader in several franchise categories but I think most would agree he doesn't merit the honor either. Gallardo is a perfect candidate for something like the Walk of Honor or the Brewers Wall of Honor though.
  2. You forgot who are manager is..... The Brewer Nation ‏@BrewerNation 5m Tonight's #Brewers lineup: 2B Gennett C Lucroy RF Braun 3B Ramirez LF Davis CF Parra 1B Overbay SS Herrera P Gallardo Haha, blind hope I guess. Figured it seems to be working pretty well for the Cubs.
  3. Maybe the Brewers will shuffle the lineup around a bit tonight and play a few of the younger recent call-ups. Can't hurt at this point.
  4. B.A. and Rock have been talking about "coming home" this entire game. I honestly don't think it is going to help.
  5. I hope we have a number of guys still coming as we could use the depth. I also don't know why we would even consider affiliate obligations or anything like that if the big club needs the help.
  6. Oops, meant to put 9-17
  7. PrinceFielderx1: Aren't you the one who has made numerous guarantees about making the playoffs and "dominating" the Central as well?
  8. Any word on whether Broxton is going to be in SF in time for today's game or if he is meeting the team in Chicago tomorrow?
  9. Well I made the mistake of going to a nice quiet location with a few friends to have a place to grab something to eat and watch the Brewers and Badgers on two tv's last night. Not a good night for your Wisconsin sports teams to say the least. I really hope we can turn things around today and avoid the sweep. Not sure when we started our long-time awful West coast trip tradition again.
  10. I do not want this game to be over in the 2nd. C'mon RR, Wily clearly doesn't have it to night.
  11. I apparently am lacking a social life and plan on spending my Friday night watching and enjoying this game in its entirety while having some peace and quiet.
  12. I assumed that this post would have been much bigger news here on bf.net
  13. I'm a bit eh on this. I still don't fully trust Villanueva's stuff and think that the first half wasn't much of an aberration.
  14. Very frustrating. You have three days to get some bullpen help DM.
  15. If I were an opposing batter I am taking at least two pitches on KRod every single time. He's falling behind hitters and than grooves one in the zone seemingly every leadoff batter he faces in the ninth.
  16. I am getting really tired of KRod giving up bombs every frickin game.
  17. Rough D. I think as the first baseman and the veteran Overbay has to take the lead on that and call Jeffress off.
  18. Yo threw a lot of pitches that inning but did a heckuva job to get out of it with no damage.
  19. Love that the Cards already lost today. C'mon guys, we could use another game bump up in the standings.
  20. Can we please not play like crap against the San Diego fricking Padres tonight. Geez.
  21. Stupid question but if you dump the water on your head don't you still have to donate?
