  1. Sign, all the whos down in whoville liked the Brewers a lot. Oh the pain, the pain, the pain of it all. Well, lets get this game.
  2. I'm upset with myself cause I was hoping the Brewers wouldn't have a perfect game against them rather then hoping for the win. My hat is off to the Phillies for taking care of buisness at home.
  3. Can we please prounounce the managers name right Ann. Oh my goodness, she is brutal. Youst, is upset and Youst walks out of the dugout, uh Yost, Yost approaches the umpire. Brewers live is nice, but that was funny.
  4. The starting pitchers have been fine the last 2 nights. Soup will go out there and do what he always does. No Soup for you! Next!
  5. I have an exam tommorrow, a 14 inning game might make me fail the class and have to take summer classes to graduate from college. Lets hope the Brewers win in this inning.
  6. I know it won't and shouldn't happen, but later tonight someone will be critisizing leaving Vargas in if he gives up a few runs.
  7. So who thinks they should pull Vargas now before he pitches the sixth. I wanna see you post now since I don't think he should be pulled, but I know you will say that you thought he should. And if he does give up some runs in the sixth you'll be all like, man Yost sucks, he should have hired better coaches to coach for when he gets ejected.
  8. Nice job getting the K, now all we need is the DP.
  9. Vargas is getting hit hard. He needs to stop the bleeding.
  10. Well maybe we at Brewerfan should try to develope our own defination of clutch or Clutchness. Here are a few problems I see: RISP is not a good measurement. A guy batting with a man on second and down by 8 runs is not clutch regardless of the outcome. This is an extreme, but at what point do you make a distinction. 3 runs down in the ninth, 1 run down in the ninth? Also reaching base in the Ninth inning is huge if your down by one run regardless of the number of outs or men on base. I propose this, but much more input is necessary. Also I do not have the resources for this formula. We would start by defining clutch situations. Like the following Ninth inning situations --1 run or less Any situation --2 runs Man on first --3 runs Two men on --4 runs 3 runs on and so on for the 8th and 7th innings. After all this I must admit, I do not think clutch exists in baseball, but sometimes watching Big Papi makes me believe.
  11. Man the Brewer players don't look like their struggling as much with the wind. I hope it stays that way. That out on Hall was weird.
  12. No one got drunk after the loss to the Phillies tonight? I'm not going to be any more specific since I hope the next 3 games are wins. My friends wanted to watch Back to the Future 3 (the crappiest one) so I said ok, the Brew Crew has a 4 run lead going into the 8th. After a beer run I turned the game on to see the horror. Ohhhh, well they all left and now I'm on BF.net at 3AM again reading about how angry everyone is at Ned Yost. They should fire that guy.
  13. Well, time to get back on the horse. Sometimes being a baseball fan is hard. How can one loss hurt so much?
  14. How bout that defense at Third base. I hope Braun can do that. That'll do Graff, that'll do.
  15. Let's get two this series and have a nice road trip.
  16. Error by Wright, an easy 1-2-3 inning turns into......
  17. If anything give TGJ a few starts against righties.
  18. I'm gonna have to disaggree with you there. We traded away Kolb for him and then got Kolb back the next year after he did nothing/hurt Atlanta. At least we got one medicore year out of Capellan and we will probably get more.
  19. I bet the Brew Crew could get Griffey for Jackson if we are willing to eat his whole contract. A SP prospect that will almost definetly pitch in the majors is worth almost any aging position player. With that being said, sorry but it will never happen. The Crew does not need anymore outfielder and does not have a history of trading for expensive old player rentals (D. Bell=exception and he is no Griffey) Your just going to have to enjoy watching him hit for the Reds. I really like him to. If he started taking the same stuff Barry Bonds was on I think he could be challenging Bonds for the all-time HR mark.
  20. I think trading away Jenkins is where a Melvin draws the line. The franchise does not owe Jenkins a starting spot on the team, but I actually do think the Brewers owe letting him fhinish the year in Milwaukee. We aren't going to be sellers anyway.
  21. This is an exremely large range (11) and probably needs to be updated since J.J. hit a HR in each of the two games since your post http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif . When estimating HRs you should try to limit the range to about 5 or 6 in my opinion. Just me knitpicking though. I think with the hot start with what I thought J.J. would hit (20-25) that he is going to finish at about 28-33 HRs.
