  1. From the Brewers: 3B Bill Hall was diagnosed today with a partial tear of the left calf. He suffered the injury while conditioning on his own yesterday. Hall is expected to miss 4-6 weeks as he undergoes rehabilitation. Man. Wish dude would have taken the 1980's John Kruk approach to training. "Drank beer, watched TV."
  2. I would hope to go with a blue matching closely to the Brewers blue. I like to price I like the T shirt idea Could I see some more script ideas? Patrick's old lettering was pretty good, very nice looking.
  3. Gerbil. We have two gerbils and each time we put them in their gerbil balls for some exercise, they crap all over the plastic balls and run around the kitchen slamming into the stove. I accidentally kicked a ball sending "Tom" into a wicked spin. He was ok, I felt bad about it so I gave him a sunflower seed. We're cool.
  4. Hi mom. Just closed Kips. Meant to stay shorter than I did. Oops. Just got a pop up I need to renew Trend anti micro something.
  5. While a fine idea, I would rather not ask folks to pony up the cash for a shirt. If you wanna design something and donate it, cool. If not though, just wearing Brewers garb is the general practice.
  6. And you thought Hip Hop was cool? Check out the 2009 Winter Meetings!
  7. It's that time of year everyone. The weather should be warming a bit soon. Equipment trucks have been loaded up, Pitchers and Catchers report very soon. Perhaps most important to the baseball world are the annual Brewerfan.net Winter Meetings. The Winter Meetings are a time for all members of the site and their spouses to gather for food, drink, and friendship. Mostly, it's a time to talk ball. Brewers Ball. I'm going to work on a few surprises this year so let's get a -huge- crowd this year! I want to see at least 20 people strong! Let's get the entire softball team there! Let's get folks from near and far! This year's location has been carefully selected and offers great food and a baseball atmosphere. A regular stop for post game celebration, Kelly's Bleachers is a great place to go. On 14 March at around 7:30 pm, the festivities shall begin. We have our own area reserved. We have several opportunities this year, so come out and make yourself known! I need a rough head count so I can get us all set up, so please set a reservation below and let me know how many guests you will bring. Myself and BrewerMary15 will be there, so that's 2 right off the bat.
  8. If you guys could start sending in payments for team fees, I can get our slot reserved. Check your in boxes for my address. edit: Please add your screen name to your payment so I can track stuff easier.
  9. I'm down. New jerseys is a good idea.
  10. Not taken apart. For right now, I decided to close off the Madison forum. Once the team captain (whom ever that will be) starts things up and then lets me know what is going on, we can find out about the Madison forum being reinstalled.
  11. This team has baffled me more than any other Bucks team I've ever seen.
  12. I truly appreciate that. Good stuff. I may have to change my avatar to one of those pictures.
  13. I don't think that the price listed includes name and number. During our first season we had an arrangement set up for personalization of jerseys but that arrangement may have expired at this point.
  14. It's a Friday night. My wife is at the Admirals game with some friends and then off to a bar for a while while -I- am the one who stays home. Odd.
  15. My favorite part of this thread is the dead squirrels. I'd think that in order to rid yourself of the smell, you should probably sell your house and move. OR Try the hot water thing. You probably have some grease and stuff jammed up in the pipes. The hot water (sans the bleach) should do the trick.
  16. Link for shirts and price Maybe we can try to figure out how to obtain a price break.
  17. That indeed is 12. That'll lock up the roster as well. I'll get a link for ya shortly. I'd like to see to it that all our players have a jersey this season so we look good. Most of the other teams all wear a team shirt.
  18. I watched his retirement announcement on MLB TV. He seemed to truly be comfortable saying goodbye, yet he was very choked up. He seemed like all the intensity was gone.
  19. There was no axe grinding. Kent has had several run ins with team mates, club officials, and even went so far as to mess with Vin Scully.
  20. Man. Happy for ya Jim, but sad for all of us as fans. You are a phenomenal broadcaster. You paint a picture of the game than anyone I have ever heard. Your voice has become synonymous with summer, and with my afternoons/evenings out in the yard or garage. I wish you all the best, and thank you.
  21. 2009 Team Roster Brewerjamie15 HappyYoungster radman12484 Nullbyte Baldkin Gauntlet21 ICN Valpocursader Houlie24X BrewCrew2021 I have 2 remaining slots. Roster closes at 12. First come first served, team members must be site members. Individual portion of team fee will be $17.50 per player. -- This is a team fee payment, not your actual player fee.--
  22. I have some time off later this week, so I will be able to go over all this stuff. Watch for roster announcements, etc.
  23. I'm really considering a game called Wii Carnival. Anyone play it yet? I saw someone mention MLB Front Office. What is that all about? How's it play, etc. thanks
  24. That second one really is pretty neat. Nice idea.
