    Another Neighbor: This guy goes all out year after year. He made all kinds of headstones and the giant spider and web. He also made the coffin and has quite a few really neat decorations.     I've been getting into Halloween more lately and I'd like to deck out the yard some more. Our yard is decorated, but just a little. Looking around, I've seen some really neat ideas put into practice in my neighborhood. I'd like to go with home made stuffs as much as possible because it saves money and is more durable. I've started a cemetery for the front yard which will expand quite a bit next season. I'm going to add more headstones, a fence, some ghosts, body parts, and other neat-o scary stuff. Any ideas for made at home scary stuff that won't blow away or break easily?     On Saturday mornings, there is a show on 620 am radio called the 'Mr. Fix it Show' or something like that. It's hosted by Tom Feiza and it's on from 7-9 am. You could call into the show and ask him his personal preferences, as it seems he only will recommend top quality reasonably priced and well mannered businesses.     I'm pretty sure Howard was leaning into the first row to get that ball, if not, you're right fan interference is not cool. I see the thread you are referring to but this should be the spot for an IGT. I just assumed that thread in the ML forum was to be all inclusive for conversation about non individual games.

    That's a tough call. Howard has badly blown quite a few balls this post season.

    I have not gotten up off the couch for about three hours. This is awesome. I'm totally relaxed, watching the World Series, and the wife is letting me. Now if I can just get here to make me a glass of milk and something to eat....

    Remember that ball a Ray popped into the stands? Why in the name of baseball did those fans allow Ryan Howard to reach into the stands and catch that ball? I'm sorry, but I'm in that situation and it's -my- team that pops one into my area of reach, no player from the other team is getting it.

    TB is awfully lucky this is only a 3-2 game, Philly is crushing them all over the place but have left 9 guys on base and are 0-11 with RISP. I think there have only been two innings the Phillies have not gotten the lead runner on base.

    I'll tell you one thing. I don't recall Philly being so aggressive before. This team is playing extremely aggressive ball. I don't think you could call it small ball, it's nutty ball. Watching Ryan Howard at first must make Philly fans feel like us when Fielder gaffs one at first.

    T- Yes, there are strips connecting the two sets of posts, I'll try your idea. Anyone out there using RCA cables that are in excess of 25' long? Our present plan is to keep the receiver and CD player in our closet while the DVD/Cable box/ TV are all stationed in the living room corner. I'm going to follow my speaker wire going up the closet wall, through the ceiling, across a small stretch of attic, then down through a hall way closet and then into the wall behind the TV. Will the long stretch cause any electronic noise? Will the fluctuation in temperatures (attics are cold or hot) cause electronic noise?

    I need to find abrewerfan.net-like audiophile site. I've recently upgraded my whole stereo system taking me so incredibly far over my head, it's unreal. I am particularly having trouble hooking up my CLR speaker. The new receiver which I got from the wife as an early Christmas gift has more power than a small block car engine, and the speakers can probably give out enough power to be heard in other zip codes. I am not sure how to describe the problem but it appears as if the Denon AVR-2308CL receiver has only two "terminals"? when the center channel I have apparently needs four. Center channel is Def Tech clr 2002. Thanks a ton.

    Watching the NLDS right now, and they are talking quite a bit about Juan Pierre. They say his attitude is incredible and he's an incredibly hard worker. He is apparently available this off season because LA will most likely not retain his services. He'd obviously not be able to stay in LF if he comes to the Brewers but would you think him a possible pick up? Can't he play CF in place of Cameron? Pierre has speed that's insane, lifetime hitter of around .300 and has an OBP of .350ish.

    I'd fully expect that the players could muster 15 more minutes of time on the field tipping their caps to the fans. After all, we sat through 3 plus hours of that game just like the players did. No excuses in my opinion. Management should not have to drag them out there, the chanting and calling for players from the fans should have surely been heard by the players. We all shared the disappointment from the loss- fans and players alike. No, I can't buy that they were too sad to show up on the field, not at all. Media interviews are surely a post game event, but can surely be put off until an on field appearance has been completed.

    Pra ctical or not, that field belongs to the Milwaukee Brewers and not the Philadelphia Phillies. That field was watched by Brewer fans for 83 games this year and the team drew over 3 million fans this season. Thank you, thank you, ThAnk YoU on the billboard is nice, but the players should have come out to say good bye for the season. They did not. To tell you the truth I am disappointed in them as a team and I'm disappointed in the coaching staff for not mandating the team get out there and show appreciation to their fans. Maybe in the eyes of some I am over reacting but in the eyes of many, that was a slap in the face. It has me ticked off quite frankly. We as fans hang there and cheer and scream for them to come out and say bye, they choose not to, we keep trying, they still hide. Not at all very appriciative and not at all cool. I'm not a child, I'm not a casual fan. I am a life long fan and I deserve a tip of the cap from the players after a long season. Like I said- perhaps I'm over reacting in your eyes, but not in my mind at all.

    Just a quick question here folks in regards to game 4 of the NLDS. I was at the game and really tried to cheer and support the team for all I I could muster. At the end of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, we as fans, cheered and cheered for a season appreciated. We kept trying to get the players to come back out, but they did not while I was there. Half of the ballpark had emptied out and I was still going at. Nobody had come out of the dugout while I waited. No fist pumping, no waving, no nothing. I waited around 20 minutes, and still nothing. I got pressed for time and had to go, but I was pretty well ticked at that point. Does anyone know if they came out of the dugout?

    Dodgers SWEEP the Cubs. Man, I like that thread title. I listened a bit last night on the way home from the game and hearing Ron Santo crying was a beautiful thing. I look forward to the radio shows down there with Cub fans complaining and whining.

    My head hurts from the noise, my throat is trashed from yelling, the place was totally electric. I honestly believe that the crowd there sounded like a jam packed Camp Randall. Way outta control. It was incredible. Luckily for me, I'll be back there tomorrow.

    Thanks ElCaballo. I was totally sitting down in my seat with my head in my hands when the bags were juiced. I was waiting for the wheels to fall off the bus killing all of us so I didn't see that actually happen.
