  1. I wish I would have been able to play. Unfortunately though, in an accident at work I got racked up pretty good. Sorta tough to play with my upper body bruised a cracked rib and my right elbow out of whack. I'll be ready for an inter-team game against Madison though.
  2. Unfortunately, I was in a small accident at work which has my right elbow trashed and most of my upper body pretty sore. I don't know if I can play but I want to try. I may not be able to though. Tonight anyone who wants to play a position can play it.
  3. We win! 10-7! I went 0-3! Ouch.
  4. I'm swamped with stuff here. Let's do the same D as last week minus Patrick. Somebody will have to take his spot.
  5. This is one of the dumbest things I've heard of from baseball. I guess we should consider the source though. Instead of tampering with the World Series, Boras would most help baseball by leaving it all together.
  6. You are at short next week. I was happy with our game as well. That team sprayed the ball all over the place. We tried pretty hard and put some runs on the board. Nothing wrong with that.
  7. 81 games left. Yup. 1/2 the season. I still like to freak out now though. Ride the highs, ride the lows.
  8. Well, what ever neat-o song Twisted Sister did then.
  9. You attempt to bean the ghost batter. Get frustrated and concentrate too much on the ghost runner at first and his big lead off. Get kicked out of a simulated game for arguing balls and strikes. Attempt to instigate a simulated bench clearing brawl. Get a mound visit. Give up 8 runs in 1 2/3 innings pitched. Get a simulated injury. Request each pretend batter be given walk up music. Insist on coming out of the bullpen in a "relief" mode and then refuse to pitch until Ned Yost dresses like the dude from Twisted Sister and make him sing 'C'mon Feel the Noise' while walking along side you. Get heckled by the simulated fans. What are some others?
  10. I am STILL ticked off. Yeah, we lost. yeah, we still have a large lead in the division. We lost to the Cubs though and -that- my friends drives me up a wall. I hate that team more than any team in any sport anywhere. I hate them so much it effects my mood when they beat us. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.
  11. I still need RC, RF, SS, and P. Done and done.
  12. Pitching was pretty darn good. I would like for you to pitch the next two weeks.
  13. I for one, can happily say that we are better off without that type of person around here.
  14. A Hilton Head Island man confused bales of pine straw with a dead woman, and tried to resuscitate them early Tuesday morning, according to a sheriff's report. The 39-year-old called deputies to the parking lot of Hilton Head Cabanas, 32 South Forest Beach Drive, at 1:49 a.m., saying he had just tried to perform CPR on a dead woman, according to the sheriff's report. They arrived to find him talking to a large bale of pine straw. When asked where the woman was, he pointed to the straw, the report stated. The man told deputies five people knocked on his door and wanted to party. A woman asked him to come outside, and told him there was a dead woman laying in the parking lot, the report stated. Deputies think the man had been drinking. The report says he thought Tuesday was Halloween and he had two empty bottles of bourbon inside his home
  15. We are on a skid here folks. Let's remain patient and not press. Let's do what ever Nedly would say the Brewers did and remain calm. I think to break out of the funk we need to get no hit or have a neat-o promotion to draw one-hundred thousand fans. What are some of your ideas for a promotion to assure victory? I vote for "bucket O Pibb day" We get a bucket and fill it with Mr. Pibb soda. Let it sit out in the uncovered bucket with no ice. We have only one cup for all to share. Last one to throw up wins a $.35 off two pizza breads coupon.
  16. Damian is not a member of the players' union. I didn't even think it was possible to play without being in the P.U.
  17. Miller is the greatest back up catcher we have. He is awesome. I'm voting him to the all star game right now!
  18. Hey guys. Let's get out of the loss column and get a nice win for this one. Out: Brian the Automator
  19. I hope you are reading this BrewerfanMatt.
  20. He was 8 lbs. 8 oz. and 21 inches long. That's a big boy. Perhaps you could start grooming him to take over for Fielder.
  21. Over breakfast this morning my wife and I were talking about the Brewers being in first place for a franchise record tying 64 consecutive days. She got to wondering how many days were not in first place and although Jim Powell was talking about it on the radio broadcast yesterday, I didn't hear it clearly. I tried to search for the information, but I found everything but what I'd like. Can someone tell me how or where to get information that shows each MLB team's day-to-day standings?
  22. I fell for that "stop for ONE BEER" at the White House too. Oh well. It guess it's true: "Go for one, stay for the rest."
  23. I dunno dude, but 7-8K is a boat load of beans. That would buy you one -heck- of a rock. Seriously speaking, my wife and I went to Kessler's on the south side of Milwaukee and were very happy. Great service. I'd talk with your girlfriend/fiance about the ring (if she knows the deal) and ask what she thinks. 2-3 grand would buy an awfully nice ring and you'd have a decent car's worth of money left over. You could use the extra money for a wedding, honeymoon, house down payment, vacation, or a nice investment for your retirement together. My wife was married once before we met and she kept the $3,000 engagement ring (1.03 karat Princess cut) she had from that time. It was appraised at around $5,000 and when she decided she wanted to sell the old ring, it netted her a whopping $1,000. Resale value (not that you'd need to resell it for divorce) is terrible on diamonds if you can find someone to buy it. We researched the snot of of re-sale diamonds and waited 6 months worth of offers from dealers or reps to buy her ring too! Imagine if you were to invest that money in something you could get your money back out of. If you or her or a child needed some medical care or something and needed to sell the ring, you'd have lost probably at least half of your money you spent on the ring. I'm not trying to rain on your parade by any means. I'm telling you from real life experience. Maybe it'd be an idea worth exploring to ask her what she thinks. 7-8 grand is a ton of money.
