  1. With lukevan stepping up and the reverse jinx in effect I virtually guarantee a victory. There is only one more thing needed to assure total domination today. The Power of the Peeps! It appears as if nobody in the Brewer organization is taking a two game loss to the Cubs lightly. The team has pulled no punches and called in a majestic power from an outside source. Brewerfan chopper obtained this footage of a private parking lot outside Miller Park today. http://www.millikin.edu/staley/peeps/trip2.jpg
  2. At the end of Spring Training didn't Nedly state that he won't tamper much with positions in the lineup? Wowzers.
  3. Sheesh. I had no idea things would go so awry. How about this IGT go back to speaking about the game? If you understand the reverse jinx, that's great. If not, feel free to PM me and I'll happily explain its oddity.
  4. I don't normally have my day effected by sports teams. Packers, Badgers, Bucks, etc. Lose, and I'm still ok. However, when the Brewers lose to the Cubs I tend to be affected in a negative way. I get ticked off. I gripe. I speak of hatred toward Cub fans. I will take off my Brewers shirt or hat and put it away. I won't look at the newspaper the next day, won't watch news, etc. I think I'm a whack job. Maybe it's gone a bit too far?
  5. Twobrewers- I just PM'd you about the pin striped bobble.
  6. I don't have a bobble to trade, but if you'd like to sell the white one I'd like one.
  7. Yea. It's game three of the set. It's a religious day so maybe the evil Cubs will lose. I doubt it though. Here's the pitching match up until the Brewers start getting shelled again. Chris Capuano (L) 0-0 ERA 540,000 http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/425626.jpg Wade Miller 0-0 No ERA at all and won't get one today. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/150063.jpg Here's a little bit about the Brewers lineup because what ever they run out there won't work anyhow. Brewer bats must be sleeping. Shh! Weeks: Just call him Richie. It doesn't matter anyway. Not like he's gonna hear you with all that wind whipping around his bat. Hardy: A Hardy-Har-Har. Hit a homer that didn't help. Fielder: Big time power. Watch out. Carlos Zambrano a Cub Pitcher hitting in the 9 spot, has as many RBI for the series as Princess Fielder. P.F. Flyer? NOT! He's #3 on the K list with 8. Hall: Or should I say E-8? Whatever. Maybe he needs to bring back the pink bat. Regular ones don't seem to be working. Estrada: Drives a cool motorcycle and is way cooler than the guy that plays John Baker his partner. JenKins: Somehow not leading the universe in strikeouts on pitches that are actually behind him. It's kind of nice for him in one key area of offense; The walk back to the dugout is short and he does not waste much energy. Hart: He is 23 feet tall. His batting average is 27 points lower than his weight. Counsell/Graffanino/Bernie Brewer: We just got one game closer to seeing Ryan Braun over there. Counsell's daddy used to work for the Brewers. That's why he is our third baseman. He looks funny at the plate. Graffanino-nino-beano-fo-fee-no! Nee-No! that was fun. These guys could not hit water if they fell out of a boat. (Tommy Lasorda-ish) I've seen fewer errors in a T-ball game. Maybe things are too confusing for them with signals from the coaches. Perhaps the team could all get cell phones and then the coaches could text them. "Ok Corey. Good job. Now just a bit to your left. Yeah, good job! Can you catch the ball Corey? "Geoff! Geoffery! Put down that dirt and pay attention!" "Bill! Bill Hall you better listen to me! Stop dancing, put your hat back on, find your glove and get ready!"
  8. So I got out of work, hopped in the car and turned on the game at about 7:10. We were scored on pretty much immediately and by the time I drove passed Miller Park on 94 West, it was 5 or 6 to nothing. Hearing Cub fans in the back ground on the radio made me even more angry. I admit it. I don't want to lose, but losing to that team really puts me in a bad mood. I think I may need some psychological counseling. Hopefully, Dr. Sheets has a good prescription for what ails me. That game sucked.
  9. It appears as if April 7th's practice will be minus a few people at the least. I have to work so I can't make it. Robin19 won't make it Valpocrewsader won't make it Rightomatic won't be there I'm not sure what to do for practice. If we get two more players to say they can not attend, please consider practice canceled and do not show up. edit: Practice would be at 11 am as usual. (see practice dates thread)
  10. I won't make it either. Gotta work. If someone wants to pick up the practice balls, PM me and I'll get them ready.
  11. I just slammed my toe into the desk leg and it really hurts.
  12. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? From Animal House.
  13. Thought they'd pull that one out of a hat there for a minute. Three exciting games for 2007.
  14. Pirates won. They are in first place!
  15. 2-1 isn't bad. We won the series after all, and that's a good thing.
  16. I'll take the pair for $60.00 if that's cool.
  17. I'd still like one if there's an extra.
  18. I'm leaving for the game right now. I'm going to go find Hawing and bug her.
  19. I need one if someone has an extra or if they think to look for one that got left behind. Thanks
  20. Weather concerns, etc. seem to make it a better idea that practice be on Sunday, 01 April. I can't make it so if someone can come get the practice balls that would be great. Lemmie know here and via PM please. Thanks I'm in West Allis off of Hwy. 100 & Greenfield
  21. I can't make it on Sunday, but let's just re-schedule practice for that day then. Weather seems to be a concern and some folks are better off for Sunday anyhow. I can't supply the practice balls unless someone wants to come pick them up.
  22. I think we'll make this first one pretty light. No 60 yard dashes. I don't need pulled softball players all over the place. We'll do some stretching, throwing, cut off drills, maybe have someone hit a few fly balls, and possibly if there's time, some live hitting. Just a light easy morning.
  23. Just to be clear, I was not yelling at anyone for the bat question. I think it was be seen as that, but I was not yelling. Let's just not use banned bats. The Rec Dept made this very clear last night at the meeting. They will not tolerate banned bats or poor behavior.
  24. Most of the umps will check and if you have an illegal bat that is called -before- the game starts, you can put it away. If you try to use it in the game you will be ejected with one minute to leave the field or we as a team forfeit. You then get suspended for up to three games and I being your captain, get suspended for one. I won't like that at all so if anyone knowingly uses an illegal bat and gets busted I will kick you off the team not only for the season, but you will be banned from the team permanently. This is a harsh rule, but I don't want to deal with suspensions, office of rec. dept. visits, and reinstatement hearings so that's the rule. It appears is if the Mizuno G2 Crush is in fact not a legal bat if I am understanding the banned bats list correctly. Here's a link of banned bats for all of us to view: List of bats that get us in trouble.
