  1. We're packing for our move. I look around, see more and more work to do just to get outta this dump and I get more and more pissed. That's what will be bugging me for a few days.
  2. I'm pretty sure that we won't have any more of our team or site members commit to play. We only had four people from our team able to play so we just won't have enough people. Next weekend is Labor Day weekend, so that's pretty much out of the question as well. I'm going to speak with Landmark 1850's captain and see if we can get a game for Sept 8th. Being a few weeks out, you should have enough time to make arrangements.
  3. 4 guys so far? Come on you guys! LET'S GO!
  4. That's the nice green bat, huh? Dang. I like that thing.
  5. Well Brewerfan, we've been invited to see if we can get enough guys to play a scrimmage game against Landmark 1850. No ump, just for fun. Landmark's team captain is trying to see if they can get enough guys to show, so let's have a strong showing of Brewerfan.net members come out to play. You don't need to have been on the team, you don't need a jersey. Just show up ready to play. If we as Brewerfan.netters have enough to field a team, that's great. I'm hoping that we can have enough folks show so that if Landmark needs to borrow some players, they can. Game will be on Saturday 8/26 at 11am. (game may change to a 1pm time, I'm going to have to check with Landmark) I'm asking for a roll call at this time. I'm there.
  6. Saturday, 8/19 at 11 am will be the second inter-brewerfan softball softball game or practice. Show up, bring people to play and have fun. Roll Call: I can't make it.
  7. There were about 7 of us, mostly just B.P. and fielding practice. Next meeting at Sijan is 8-19 at 11 am.
  8. Hey Jamie...are Mary and Rachel going to be there? Yeah, probably. Mary won't play though.
  9. Come one come all to the first inter-brewerfan.net pick up softball game of them all! This Saturday at 11am at Sijan Field (Oaklahoma and KK) will be thefirst inter-brewerfan softball game. Bring friends or family members to play in this co-ed game. We'll see how many show up to play. For an idea of how many will show, please tell us so we know what to expect as far as number of players. We will follow the standard 3-2 count with 1 swinging strike. Game will go for approximately one hour. Show early to warm up a bit. attendance so far: Jamie and probably one or two friends Brian and Nicole
  10. I'd say let's start this Saturday morning at Sijan Field. Field #2 which is the same field we played our games on. Pretty much gonna be see who shows, and then play.
  11. Here's the deal: Fall softball is nice, but it's two nights a week which makes for a major commitment. I for one would be quite pressed to commit that much time and I'm sure most of you are in the same boat. Since there has been little honest interest in a commitment to playing Fall Ball for an organized league, I think that I am going to pull the plug on registering Brewerfan for Milwaukee Rec's Fall League. I have come up with a pretty nice alternative to the two night a week for five weeks schedule. I'd like to suggest that we play amongst ourselves and bring friends along with us. We could play at our practice field or some other convenient location. Maybe we could even play at Sijan? No only can we incorporate guys and girls who didn't get a chance to play for the summer team, none of us have to commit to a two night a week deal. Maybe we could plan on every Saturday Morning at 11 am or something? I know there are guys with bats and we have the bag of team balls so there's no equiptment to buy. If you don't have a glove, I'm pretty sure you could borrow one. Who knows, maybe we could even play White House in a game. Let me know what you all think by replying below and remember; females are welcome to play, and so are non-members of the site. There should not be a fee unless for some reason, we have to pay a field fee once in a while. This will give Brewerfan.net team members a chance to stay rather fresh or improve on skill sets, and it will help others to get out of the house for some activity.
  12. Man, my stats were crappy. That hitch in my swing just killed me. I'll do better next season; even if just by accident. wow. I sucked.
  13. Yeah, that's getting out there a bit Jimbo. lol
  14. End of the first Brewerfan.net softball season- We stopped for a few beers at White House Bar and hung out with a classy softball team. I'm buzzed up now.
  15. We hung out with the White House guys after the game, and now I'm hammered. White House is a class act. I wish we could have helped them out in our game; next year, Brewerfan will be a force not to be taken lightly. I'm proud of the team and our first season was quite a success. Here's to next year! Thanks guys!
  16. Huge save. Way to earn that one, Cordero. Well deserved win for Bush. Nice game to come back to. Impressive pitching.
  17. 0-2 and they chuck one in the dirt. That's some confidence.
  18. 1-0 2-0 3-0 3-1 3-2 BB. Dang! Bags juiced.
  19. Bennett. Thanks. That was really sticking in my craw. Cordero is impressing the snot right out of me.
  20. Oy. THis is pretty interesting. first and third with one out, bottom of the ninth, Brewers up 1-0.
  21. must be the brim of Gwynn's hat. That thing is flat man. Who was that relief pitcher that wore his hat real flat like that and often had rosin all over the thing?
