For the first time since the horrible Cub series at Miller Park just before the All Star break, I'm watching the game intently. I tuned in at the first pitch and I plan to watch it all. Yeah, may not seem like a big deal to you, but I needed a break and I'm starting to come back around. Good game for Bush so far. It's only the bottom of the fourth but he's been doing well.

Our rained out make up game that was rained out from a previous rain out game is scheduled for Thursday August 3rd at 8 pm. Let's hope it won't be rained out. BrewerMary and I rented a couple of movies last weekend. We picked and watched two movies on total opposites of the scale. First we watched Hostel and then Broke Back Mountain. wow.

I need a list of players who will commit to playing fall ball for BF.net. Here are the details: New teams eligible to sign up on August 4th which is when I will need your money by. Season starts on Sept. 5th and plays TWO NIGHTS PER WEEK and runs for 5 weeks. Team fee is $145.00 Player Fees are $12.00 for CITY OF MILWAUKEE Residents and $24.00 for anyone not in the city of Milwaukee. Nights are Tuesday and Thursdays OR Monday and Wednesday Locations are: Burbank Wick Pumping Station Sijan I need your commitment right away. Once you tell me you are going to play, you are responsible for the player fees and your portion of the team fee. Team fee portion will be decided once I have a commitment from players. I'd like at least 12 players. We field 10 per game and I 'd like 2-3 extra guys incase of absences. Players returning from summer softball will most likely have priority at positions, but all players will have the opportunity to field over the course of the season and all players will hit each game. I think that for Fall Ball I'd like to see how it works to have 10 guys field the whole game and the remainder of the team DH the whole game. Lemmie know that you are playing, if you have a bat, and what position you want to play. (may not play that spot) I need to know what days/Field you prefer I'll also need to have players chip in for game balls again. No practice balls will be necessary for purchase, we've got quite a few now. Jerseys will remain the same and new players will need to purchase a jersey. Game status thread for 7/27/06 which is oddly enough, a rain make up game.

I just called Sjan Field and as of 5 pm all games for Sijan Field are cancelled. No game this evening. Don't show, no game. I'll try to find out about a make up tomorrow. Original thread below- It's 3:05 right now. I'm on the east side and pretty close to the field. Currently the rain is not coming down, but it did drizzle about a half an hour ago. A Tornado Warning for Waukesha County just came across the TV screen and it appears as if Milwaukee County is next up for the storm. I called up the Rec Department and at 3 pm all games were still on as scheduled, but I'm thinking there's no way we play tonight. Please count on playing tonight untill I've posted otherwise. I have the scorebook. You said we weren't using it, so I just left it at home and was going to use it for scoring other ball games. Nullbyte probably has the rest because he took it after the game.

Quite honestly I'm disappointed by that comment. I really think that was way, way out of line. Obviously that person is banned, and you all know that comments like that will never be and have never been tolerated. The chat room is a nice place for game talk, or just shooting the breeze about things in general. Chat rooms can be problems no matter what site you're on and although it's rare, there seems to be a bit of a problem in our chat room lately. The individual responsible for the recent childish comments was just a troll, and nothing more. I realize 99.99% of us would not cause problems like that and I'm sorry for those of you who happened to be in the chat room when it happened. I'd like to ask the same thing Brian asked about troublemakers in the chat room. If you witness someone geting out of hand please copy the chat and email it to Brian and title it chat room problems or something to catch his attention. I'd also like to ask that if you are in the chat room and if you see that I am online when there are problems you inbox me and I'll respond as soon as I see it. Thank You Everyone. I think that I outta get charged with an error in the first inning? I had a ball hit at me which I thought would bounce off the ground a bit more but it died out and went under my glove. That sucked. Sorry. Two batters later I fielded a ball hit to my right that then bounced more than I thought it would and I basically caught it with my ribs. I still have a big ol' red mark about the size of a softball.

4:15 PM: I just called for field conditions and as of right now, all games are on and will be played as scheduled. I'll call again in an hour or so and give an update.
