  3. same as last game, but I"ll add in the missing players where they belong. I'll do it later on.
  4. If there is anything you are needing from me or questions you have about contests, donated items, or anything at all, please inbox me. I'm really trying to get caught up and I need your help if you are waiting for me. In addition to the fact that things behind my control have gone -way- out ofcontrol, we're getting ready to move, work is nuts, etc, etc, etc., the Brewers have me more ticked off than I have ever been with them. I've been totally avoiding the team since the Saturday loss to the Cubs. I didn't even watch the All Star game. I've avoided all baseball lately out of protest to crappy play by your Brewers. (ok, they are my Brewers too, but...) Please realize I'm not avoiding anyone or anything, I'm just busier than ever and my memory lately has been about as reliable as a Turnblow appearance. Thanks everyone! edit~ I type like trash sometimes. Fixed lots of stuff.
  5. See ya after a couple of days. I'm way pissed. Total garbage.
  6. Ok, Bush with the excellent game. Our offense the last two games has sucked. I'm more upset with this stupid team than I have been in quite some time. If we lose this game, I'm not watching tomorrow, I'm not looking at Brewerfan, I'm not wearing a Brewers baseball cap, I'm totally done untill after the All Star break, I'm serious. I'm done. Finished. I'm ticked off man, Ticked Off!
  7. So like, I totally can copy and paste lineups and junk and make totally work but this softball standings chart I made won't line up properly. I totally made the chart in like Microsoft Word ya know, and I thought fer shur it would work. I tyeped in my commands like this: { } used to avoid mishaps by EZBoard Current Standings for MS-385 Sijan Field Thursdays. [code}Team Name W L T PTS White House 7 0 0 14 Bay Street Pub 5 2 0 10 Anna?s 4 3 0 8 BrewerFan 3 4 0 6 Club Carnival 2 5 0 4 Landmark 1850 0 7 0 0{/code }
  8. July 13th is a huge game for us because we play Anna's, the team two points (1 win) ahead of us. We really need to take that game because after us, Anna's plays Club Carnival and then Landmark1850, two games they should win.
  9. Who can fix this stupid thing? I've tried a few times and can't make it work. I got it lined up nicely in WORD and did the [code} [/code} thingy, but no dice. I can usually make stuff work, but not this time. What's up?

  11. Details for fall ball should be available soon. I called to see about getting our spot and I was told that leagues and field availibility will be announced soon.
  12. I called MKE Rec today and found that the make-up schedules have been printed out and will be mailed out on Monday morning. I told the person our league and team and I was told that our make up games are as follows: July 20th 8 pm @ White House = May 11th game July 27th 8 pm vs. Bay Street Pub = May 25th game These are our only two games needing a make-up White House is the team that crushed us but then laid off aggressive running, etc. These guys were not mouthy or anything at all. It's going to take a very solid game for us to beat them. Bay Street Pub on the other hand is the beer swilling loud mouthed team that ticks everyone off. Let's beat these guys. I want to beat them very badly. Let's not let them under our skin, let's keep our cool and beat them where it hurts; on the score board.
  13. Do I have a problem? Yes, of course you do. We all do. (stands up from a plastic chair, looks at floor, shifts back and forth) "Hello. Uhhh, ummm, my name's Jamie and uhhh, (clears throat) I'm a Brewers fan."
  14. The North Sliders of Chicago are in town to fight the War of I-94. Chicago posts a record of 31-54 while Milwaukee counters with a 44-43 mark. Carlos Zambrano ® is 7-3 with a 3.33 ERA He gets countered by Zach Jackson (L) who is looking to improve his 1-1record & 6.11 ERA. Chicago can't hit lefties, so let's hope to see Action Jackson go deep into the game and post a quality start. I'm also hoping that Zambrano will let the Brewers get into his head and take him out of the game mentally. For further information, I'd like to suggest you check out the following information provided by batman. By clicking on this excellent link chock full of goodness you will find that our very own Bill Batterman has written professional caliber stories for us. Please do yourself a favor and check them out. Scouting Report: Zambrano will be the Cubs' lone All-Star representative, and this will be his last start before the game in Pittsburgh. Zambrano picked up the win against the White Sox in his last start, giving up seven runs on seven hits over six-plus innings. He also hit his third home run of the year, and is the first Cubs pitcher with at least three since Fergie Jenkins hit six in 1971. Jackson will try to rebound from his last outing, when he lasted just five innings and allowed seven earned runs against Minnesota. He surrendered a five-run third inning as the Twins sent 10 batters to the plate. In his previous start, which was against the Cubs, Jackson went 5 2/3 innings and allowed six hits and three runs.
  15. Quality stuff. If any of you have the time, I'd strongly suggest reading over what Batman wrote for us, it's top notch information that is paralleled by few.
  16. MILWAUKEE -- The Internet balloting ended Thursday evening, but Chris Capuano's All-Star hopes were not be dashed just yet. Capuano, the runner-up to the Dodgers' Nomar Garciaparra in the Monster 2006 All-Star Final Vote, responded an hour after results were official with a six-hit shutout in the Brewers' 2-0 win over the Cubs on Thursday in front of 37,326 at Miller Park. With the Mets' Pedro Martinez on the disabled list and out of the All-Star game, Capuano went home Thursday night still clinging to a chance to pack his bags for Pittsburgh and the Midsummer Classic. The decision belongs to Astros manager Phil Garner, who will lead the National League All-Stars. "I don't even know how this whole thing works," said Capuano, who had spent most of his days between starts participating in the Brewers' campaign to drum up votes. "I'm just done thinking about it and I want to get back to work. If it happens, great, but I'm much more concerned about what's happening in our clubhouse." It was a decidedly happy clubhouse on Thursday night. The Brewers won their fourth straight game and moved above .500 (44-43) for the first time since May 30, when they were 26-25 but in the middle of an eight-game losing streak. They have the best home record in the National League at 29-17, and have won five games in a row at Miller Park and eight of the last 10. Thursday marked their first win this season when scoring fewer than three runs. While Capuano focuses on those positives, the campaigning was left to others "He surely didn't hurt himself tonight," Brewers manager Ned Yost said of Capuano's All-Star viability. "We've all got our fingers crossed." A record 18.6 million votes were cast before Final Vote balloting ended at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, about two hours before Capuano (10-4) threw the first of 97 pitches against the Cubs. He ran his scoreless streak against Chicago to 28 innings dating to last season, including 26 innings in three starts this year. It was the second complete game of the season and Capuano's career, and both have come against the Cubs this season. He pitched a five-hit shutout at Wrigley Field on April 30, then worked eight scoreless innings there on June 26 before he was struck in the left forearm by an Aramis Ramirez line drive. He declined the notion that his strong outing had anything to do with Thursday's disappointing Final Vote. "I was just happy the thing was over," Capuano said. "No one can argue with the guy who was picked. Nomar is having an unbelievable year right now, so I'm happy for him." For the second time in 11 days, Capuano and the Brewers beat Greg Maddux, who has lost to the Brewers only five times in 18 career decisions. "I got outpitched," said Maddux, charged with two runs in six innings. "It's tough to shut a team out twice. To do it three times, you tip your hat. He's good, man." Good enough for a spot on the All-Star team? Capuano retired the first nine Cubs he faced Thursday before Juan Pierre's single leading off the fourth. Capuano stranded runners in scoring position in the fourth, sixth, seventh and ninth innings. Derrek Lee hit a one-out double in the ninth, but Yost stuck with Capuano. Had another Cubs runner reached base, Yost might have gone to closer Derrick Turnbow. "You never want a guy that's pitched that well have to face the winning run," Yost said. "I'm just glad that another guy didn't get on, because I would have had to make a decision. It never got to that point." The Brewers broke a scoreless tie with two runs off Maddux (7-9) in the fifth. Gabe Gross led off with a double and advanced on Capuano's sacrifice bunt before Rickie Weeks pulled an RBI double. Weeks scored two batters later on Geoff Jenkins' single. Jenkins ran his hitting streak to five games and finished 2-for-3 in his at-bats against Maddux, improving his lifetime average against the Cubs legend to .447 (21-for-47). The Brewers right fielder also made the defensive play of the game, throwing a bullet from the warning track to third base and catching Ramirez trying to stretch a double into a triple in the seventh. "It's hard to describe how much of a relief it is when something like that happens," Capuano said. "It just gives you so much confidence to throw strikes." "I just chucked it, and hoped it was on a line," Jenkins said. "The ball went off the wall and I was chasing it, so the ball was in front of me and so was the runner. My whole thought there is just to pick it up and launch it, because you're not worried about missing the cutoff man because nobody's going to move up a base. You just try to throw it on a line, and see what happens." What's gotten into the formerly-slumping Brewers right fielder? "Good question," Yost said. "If anyone's got the answer to that, just let me know. I don't know. Jenks gets hot, and when he gets hot, he can put a lot of offense on the board. He's really been doing a nice job for us, and that play he made today, you're not going to see a better play than that." Weeks finished 2-for-4 and is hitting .412 (7-for-17) on the current homestand. The Brewers need to win two of their next three games to head into the All-Star break with a winning record. "I'm lying if I said it wasn't important for us to do that," Yost said. "We're striving for that."
  17. 2nd CG shoutout of the yeat for Capuano. Wow. Dude is good.
  18. Capuano proving the voters wrong yet again. He should have been sent to the game.
  19. I really have to say that Brewerfan did an excellent job on defense tonight. We forced some very quick innings. Our offense did quite well tonight by sending quite a few batters up each inning and no foolish outs on the base paths. I -finally- broke my o-fer slump at something like 12 with a hit. I sure hope that I can right the ship here and finish strong at the plate. Well deserved win tonight you guys. Good game. Good defense.
  20. Has anyone mentioned cheese sandwiches yet?
  21. Pirates matters nothing to me right now. I wish I didn't have to say this, but: GO CUBS
  22. Anyone interested in playing BF.Net Fall softball? I have no idea about details, this is just an interest gauge. I'd take no less than 12 and no more than 15 players. Signing up now is not a commitment but I'd ask that you be serious before coming aboard.
  23. Here's yet another twist in the lineup/fielding for this game: If you don't want to play a position I have you down for, lemmie know via this post or at the game. If there's a position you'd like to try, lemmie know that too. 1-Nullbyte-- LF 2-Robin19--P 3-Razzorsharp-- SS 4-Ajay-- LC 5-Valpo-- 3b 6-Houlie-- 1b 7-ICN-- RF/DH 8-Ajohnson-- RC 9-Radman-- DH/RF 10-BJ15-- 2b 11-Brian-- C I'll mostly keep score when we are up but one of the DH players will have to do it when we're in the field. Edit: If there's anyone playing that I don't have listed, let me know. If you won't be at the game and you are listed, lemmie know as well. OUT FOR GAME: Colbyjack Jimbo Djones43 Bball Edit #2-. Bball out for game, position changes, adjusted lineup.
  24. Obviously I was among those who lost their cool. I yelled ans swore a bunch this evening. Sorry guys. Once again I had a terrible evening at the plate 0-3 with two swinging K's. I'm going to have to hit up the cages soon. My hand felt fine untill the last AB; a fly out that made my hand swell up again. I'm going to need to take a serious look at myself and perhaps even sit a game from hitting. I'm not helping the team offensively at all. I'm like Chad Moeller without the salary.
  25. Ueck with the lead vocals in the seventh inning stretch. Take me out to the ball game...
