  1. I can honestly say that this is good Publicity for the site. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Congrats BF.Net!
  2. Colorado @ SD: Rockies get 7 runs in the top of the first inning. Day comes in to pitch for Colorado and promptly loads the bases with no outs. SD scratched out 4 runs. 11 run first says we're on the way to a slug fest.
  3. Our first softball practice will be Saturday, 15 April at 1 pm. Practice will be held at Hales Corner's Park Softball Diamond. Valpocrewsader provided the following link: H.C.P. MAP and supplied the following: If you park in the lot on New Berlin rd (by the pool), you can't miss the diamond. I work in Hales Corners, so if you want, I can snap some pictures tomorrow rather than you driving out here. I'd ask at this time that all players unable to atend please contact me via this thread or via inbox. I'd also like to remind you to bring player fees. I think that practice will run for approx. 2 hours and will be mostly loosening up, catch, hitting and fielding drills, and then player fees and signing player cards, etc. I'd ask you bring a check or exact change. I'll see you all on Saturday, weather permitting. If it's supposed to rain, etc, please stay tuned to this thread for further updates. If anyone on the East Side needs a ride, let me know. Fees: $277/19= $14.50 + 12.00 per player = 26.50 per player (MKE resident) add $12 for non-MKE folks= $38.50 Roster: Brewerjamie15 #15 Back: JAMIE Iron Chef Napalm #00 WOAH SOLVDD razzzorsharp #24 Back: NJS III Brewer Fever #23 Back: FEVER valpocrewsader #13 Back: MATT Ajay #2 Back: AJAY Dougjones43 #40 Back: JORDAN Colbyjack #9 Brian the Automator #28 BACK: AUTOMATOR Houlie24X #8 Back: HOULE Bball123h #31 Back: KENNY Recte44 #44 Back: RECTE Robin19 #14 Back: B KEN Nullbyte #34 Back:RUSSELL Steve11 #11 Back: CRASH Jimbo #99 Back: JIMBO Ajohnson104 #20 Back: AL radman12484 #54 Back: RADDATZ Unable to attend so far: Brian the Automator Colbyjack bball123h AJOHNSON104 recte44 DougJones43 Robin19
  4. not an infielder. Time's up. I actually let this run for over a half hour. Look again tomorrow during the game. Locking it till #3 rolls around.
  5. It's the '83 team. There were only x amount of players it could have been, it's a starter, these should be obvoius points I thought. It only takes a guess.
  6. Bottom of the 9th! is running right now....
  7. Slow pitch league, but I have to check if it's 4 outfielders or 3.
  8. Pitching matchup I'm lucky enough to be going today for my third game of the season. I'll go out on a limb here and say we don't see Turnbow today at all. (we said that yesterday though) Milwaukee tries to keep a perfect record intact but they will have to face the tough right hander Brandon Webb. Yost counters with brewerfan and hawing favorite Doug Davis aka Sharpie. ARI: RHP Brandon Webb (0-0, 1.29 ERA) One of eight MLB pitchers with 180-plus innings and a sub-4.00 ERA in each of the last three seasons. MIL: LHP Doug Davis (0-0, 3.00 ERA) No career decisions against D-Backs despite 2.49 career ERA, including 1.29 last season. Press Pass <-- cool information
  9. Bottom of the 9th! Up for grabs: April 1983 What's Brewing? magazine and the pitch: Tell me the player featured as the "centerfold" picture. I'll open this for answers during the game at some point and let it run for an inning. (hint:that is a good indicator that this will open at the top of an inning.) Stay tuned to this thread- please do not reply untill I've opened it for answers. 83
  10. i'm way out of shape. I also don't have much expience throwing a softball Great. This is going to be 2002 Brewerish. I think we're in trouble.
  11. Is it just me, or does Bush have a giraffe neck?
  12. done. I win. My record is 1-0
  13. I'm going to be dumping off some old Brewers stuff of mine from time to time and I've come up with a new feature to get folks to pay more attention to this forum to see announcements, etc. Bottom of the 9th! will run at random times; maybe once a day, maybe 7 times in a day, maybe every week, who knows. I will post 1/2 to 1 hour before the contest will begin. I will simply say 'Watch in the next (x amt of time) for 'Bottom of the 9th!' to begin Once contest is posted, you have only five minutes to figure it out. While you are up to bat, you can foul off a pitch or two untill you're either correct or you lose. Either way, you have only 5 minutes. edit: Once a contest has reached it's five minute maximum, I'm going to ask that you not give away the answer as the question will most likely stay the same untill solved. If after a few trial runs, it appears that you guys need a bit more time, I'll expand it in five minute incriments untill we are comfortable. * As always, I'm looking for donations to be used as give aways. I've only got so much stuff of my own to give up without being yelled at again. I'll take anything you'd like to donate, and you will of course, be credited properly.
  14. It's the bottom of the 9th, tie game, man on third you're up to bat. Get a hit, win the ame. Up for grabs: April 1983 What's Brewing? magazine and the pitch: Tell me the player featured as the "centerfold" picture. Five minutes before contest closes. Starting NOW!
  15. This contest will be re-opened sometime today. DO NOT answer untill then!
  16. From the time of this post you have 5 minutes to tell me who is the featured "Centerfold" picture for the April 1983 issue of 'What's Brewing'. starting NOW!
  17. Well, I guess I won't be saving that question for the future....
  18. Not telling. I may bust that question out again in the near future.
  19. done deal. it's over. guess you best start checking this thread more often. edit: who knows when the next contes happens? Who knows how long it will last? Who knows what the question will be? stay tuned.....
  20. You have 5 minutes from the time this post is made to tell me who is on the cover of the 2003 Milwaukee Brewers Media Guide. Starting.....NOW!!!
  21. Next time someone decides to go off on Daron or Bill for their broadcasting, I'd like to invite them to watch virtually -any- other TV duo. There are some really boring duos out there, lemmie tell ya.
  22. I didn't like that Jason Bay home run. Ties the Game at 2.
