  1. What's with the get away day being a night game? First one I've seen in MKE ina long time. 7th DP of the season for JJ/Rickie
  2. If you want better play-by play analysis and key topic conversation I'd suggest that you stop in the chat room during games. This is your best bet for more pertinent game conversation.
  3. Was that BrewerJamie sitting in the buckethead section? I think they just showed him on TV. That was me. Now I have to charge you guys per appearance at BF.Net gatherings.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif We got home from the game and my father in law said I was on TV. Hope I wasn't picking my nose or anything.....
  4. We'll be at the game, bucket head section at first but if the crowd is real small, I may just move to the real nice seats.
  5. Since I didn't get the Jenny Finch model bat, I checked out the ASA site for approved/non-approved bats. here's a link: okie doke softball bats Apparently, metal spikes are allowed in our league, but I'd suggest purchasing rubber or plastic cleats is you need some. I've yet to determine the location of the first practice, but I will post it by the weekend. Hang in there- Jamie
  6. Don't forget to check out WSSP's post game show today- see what it's about. First one ever.
  7. Normally I wouldn't do this, but with all the excitement around opening day, if you'd like to help out BF.Net and get some great seats in the process, click HERE Thanks guys.
  8. I say that the Brat is the first sausage race winner. JJ Hardy gets the first hit of the season Jenks is the first to go yard Clark with the first steal Go Brewers! happy baseball 2006 everybody! Turn on FSN right now. Brewers stuff galore!
  9. I don't know right now. Paul is taking a "wait and see" approach to this event. I think it's a smart idea to see how many folks show up.I know that he's offering up food and drink specials plus prizes and tickets. maybe wait on the cake?? Or just send it to my house?
  10. Oh well. My hopes are crushed for the season. Joe Sheehan to be under .500 this season giving us something like 77 wins. I guess there's always next year. maybe we shouldn't even watch the game.
  11. Don't think it was planned as an advertising gimmick Yes sir, it was intentional. I knew that a softball team would be a good idea to get our names out there, I knew that pride would get guys to wear their jerseys out around town. (I've done it too) I'm alsogoing to see if we can play a local radio station's softball team. Formerly, Lazer, and now the HOG I believe the morning crew still accepts challengers. I've submitted an application to play them. edit: Brewermary just showed me an ad in the paper for Sportmart. They have some softball bats 20% off. mary suggested that we get some of the black andpink Jenny Finch bats for $64.00
  12. Brian- The way you kicked off the season was a thing of beauty. I think I'm going to cry. I'd image tomorrow that you'll go dust of your John Fogerty album and crank up 'Centerfield', hey?
  13. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
  14. batting glove is padded to wear inside my mitt. I've broken and bruised up my palm before catching a liner right in the palm so I tend to be cautious.
  15. I just got back from Dunham's on Hwy 100 in West Allis. Mary gave me a $100.00 allowance. I have enough left over for a beer. I got: Cleats: $20 Bat: $40 Batting Glove: $10.00 Equiptment Bag: $10.00 Baseball Pants: $13.00 They have a wicked sale going on right now. I'd recommend checking it out before stores run out of your size cleats.
  16. It's locked. We've all gone off on a rant from time to time, no reason to shut down a member for something minor like this.
  17. How many of you prefer we switch practices to Thursday nights? maybe we could alternate Thursdays and Saturdays? Lemmie know what you think.
  18. I wasn't on a date, but I did go out. I went to play Texas Hold 'Em for ten bucks. I didn't win, but I didn't go out first. I'm GP'd. I did manage to publically relate tough, saw a few Brewers fans, gave 'em my card. I'm gonna finish my sam-mich and go to bed.
  19. Colbyjack- Don't worry if you are not going to make practices, that's fine. We can still have you play with the team. Besides, we need your money. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'll have a different park picked out shortly for practice....
  20. ^^ Brian's will be the official practice field for our practices then. ^^
  21. Brian- does your spot have plenty of parking?
  22. Mary and I willbe there, but Rachel will be staying home. I'm down with some cool recipe stuff, although most of mine are just lists and not measurements since I do "what ever feels right".
  23. I haven't gotten GP'd in quite a while and I haven't been to this thread in a while. I plan to change that this weekend.
  24. And the Brewers lose yet another ST game this one in the 10th frame. 5-4. looks like Wise gave up the run???
  25. This one will not be cancelled. Trust me.
