Deja Vu!!!! 5-3 and the wheels are falling off again. It's just the last 2 road series have pretty much started to spell the demise of the Brewers -- Nats&Pirates and now the Reds&Cardinals. If the Brewers are a >GOOD< team they win more than they lose against INFERIOR ballclubs. Grrr - 5-4 now. And not even the rain is going to save them.

I'd think Tim 'Rock' Raines has an outside chance.

Hey Keg I edited the post. I knew that might get someone upset or start a war. :-( But he still wears 25 and the way today's game is going his 24 will be making an appearance as well. :-)

Who is or was Frank Linzy?? I have never heard of him before. Now that is an obscure baseball card.

I saw that the 2nd game of the DH is being shown on Extra Innings. On my digital cable listing it's one of the higher channels. However probably because of Fox's rights on Sat afternoon the first game is not available on Extra Innings. Bummer.

Oops, there was an inconsistency in the Brewers game summary for game 5 of the 1982 ALCS. How did the pitcher sacrifice the man over with a pitcher to 2nd??? I think that should have said pitcher to first. Oh well, history is done and the Angels lost. BLESS THE BREWERS OH LORD GOD! LET THE CUBS FIND THE DEPTHS OF DEMISE AS USUAL!

I just pray Ned doesn't run the JV lineup out there again tonight. It just seems the Brewers have been facing more lefties than usual over the last 2-3 weeks. Here's to hoping the Crew takes 3 out of 4 this weekend. Yaz (PS GO REDS!!!)

Good move! Take that Cubs.. I personally don't think this is the last move. Attanasio probably decided to win now not another 3 or 4 years from now. :-)

Oh my, this thread should be the one! Casey??? Lock that other gol darn thread already! This crap w/ Derek Lee is a FREAKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just say it way Prince Fielder who got into a fight with Chris Carpenter. Now how long would MLB wait to hear Prince and Carpenter's appeals?? 1, maybe 2 weeks?? And do you think they would be lenient on Prince if he were to swing those weapons at the wimpy SP Chris Carpenter?? No way, No how!!!!!!!!!! This BS 4 WEEKS!!!! appeal is nuts! I am thoroughly surprised all the folks here are so passive. Heck I am insulted that someone started a NEW thread about this now after 4 weeks. :-( Casey?? Do your damn job and lock that thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems when I addressed this BS over a week ago all of you SO CALLED BREWER FANS ---- ignored it!!!!!!!!!!! Without Derek Lee for >5< games the Crew would gain at least 3 games in the standings. Oh geez why should I even care???????? Bud Selig wants to see the Brewers suffer. Oh ok, Yaz is a moron for wondering why MLB is letting D. Lee play like nothing ever happened. So much for throwing a punch at a pitcher Derek. sheesh!
  15. Yaz
How freaking much longer until Lee will serve this *** 5 *** game suspension??!!!! The appeal process is a joke! It's been over 3 weeks since this incident and he is still playing ball. I can guarantee the Cubs would have not been on a long winning streak had MLB expedited this process. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

No actually the wheels fell of this bus in PITTSBURGH before the break so it really doesn't matter what Sheets does tonight.

20-14 - heh. The Twins outlasted the White Sox today. That has got to be one of the highest scoring games between 2 teams I have seen.
  18. Yaz
PIRATES - PIRATES - PIRATES - PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif That's all I got to say at this time.
  19. Yaz
I want in to. Thanks Pedro. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Yaz
Well ok I guess I understand this point but do you really think Ned is going to put a $10 mill a year pitcher in the bullpen?? GRRRR...
  21. Yaz
Rluz, that was sarcasm.. heh Gallardo is a Starter not a pitch every 4 days for 1 or 2 innings pitcher. If Gallardo would not have been called up this year he would have pitched 6-7 innings per start in Nashville every 4th or 5th day. Tell me this wouldn't mess his arm up anyway.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif Vargas and Bush and even Cappy should be on short leashes. Gallardo does not deserve a DEMOTION to the pen after pitching as well as he has thus far.
  22. Yaz
Answer to the question: Yovanni Gallardo. So what do I win?? Oh yeah that's right we don't want to mess Gallardo's arm up so we are going to relegate him to the role Elmer Dessen's held before he went on the DL.
  23. Yaz
Oh and furthering the debate about Gallardo.. If you don't want him to get TOO MANY innings than why don't the Brewers send him back to Nashville so he can be a STARTER again. GOOD GRIEF!!!!! That is the most bogus excuse I have ever heard for moving a STARTING PITCHER to the bullpen. Common sense.. Oh nevermind. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Ok so where is a breakdown of the voting?? Glad to see 4 Brewers made it in. JJ is the only backup at SS so he'll likely get to play 4 or 5 innings. :-)
  25. Yaz
Misery?? BAH!!!! Georgia, Georgia! 92?? Looks like the Cubs are going to keep it that way. Missouri?? LOL!!! Dude where did you get your education? sigh... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
