    RATS!!!! Still have until Sunday to go back at those rascally Rockies and get our first baseman of destiny! Yes I am hanging by a very thin strand right now. My guess is the Rockies wanted pitching, and more pitching and let's see more pitching for Morneau. Get er done Doug!

    Justin Morneau now hitting .320. Gonzo back to the DL. The Rockies season for all intent & purposes is already over. Come on Melvin... Make an offer that those other teams can't match. Please?

    I have a solution for those of us who are having issues w/ the dial-up type speed we are getting when entering forum.brewerfan.net. A FREE PROXY SERVER. Just Google that and there will be plenty to choose from. Time Warner decided to change my DHCP IP address over a week ago. Since this happened they have given me a dynamic IP based out of Herndon VA. This change has diverted my route to the forum through a suspect Chicago RR T-Bone server and Cogentco. There is some major fighting going on between the last of >4< steps from Chicago RR to Cogentco. This causes a lag. So now with my proxy I am cruising around Brewerfan at breakneck speed again.

    I am right there with Justin Morneau. That .300+ avg with solid defense would make our line-up formidable. Saw Gonzo got hurt for Colorado again last night. Colorado is going nowhere this year. Why wasn't that deal done?! Man life isn't fair. lol.

    All I can say is am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED the Brewers didn't get Justin Morneau. I saw he would be a perfect fit with this team when they were rolling in June. The Overbay/Reynolds platoon is frustrating as they are almost an automatic out when they come to the plate. And as we have seen for the past month it's not the pitching that is the problem. I knew it would be hard to replace Fielder, but this is ridiculous.

    Well I am back with the lag issues again. Please note I ran a tracert and came across Cogentco several times. They are a known server for games like WOW and League of Legends. Is there any reason, WHY I am going through those servers to get to this forum? I have TWC Roadrunner here at home. This never happens to me at work. Now I am curious to do a tracert on my work laptop tomorrow to see if it routes that way there. I never have this type of lag at all there. Admin if you could kindly read a PM I sent you and contact me I'd appreciate it.

    Well at least I know I am not the only user here who has had this problem. Tuesday I actually un-plugged my modem from wall and left it that way while I was gone at work. But that didn't fix it. :-( Have gone through the ipconfig/dnsflush already. Even changed my DNS from Roadrunner default to Google 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4 and that didn't help. I guess the next thing I will do when I get home tonight is unplug the cord to my PC for awhile and see if that helps. Thanks for replying I really do appreciate it.

    Hello, Since last weekend when I come to the forum from my home roadrunner it loads SLOW! I am at work right now and there are no issues whatsoever. I sent a PM to Squarepusher but it shows my messages stuck in the Outbox. Any admin here willing to help me out? Thanks!

    Uh, what is Braun doing on 2nd base?!!!!!!! He should have been sitting on 2nd base when that ball came out of the CF glove. And he would have trotted into 3rd base. UNREAL!

    Oh no Manny Parra errr Marco Estrada is pitching tonight. Well at least I'll be watching it someplace where there will be cold cheap beer to drown my sorrows in if the game goes bad.

    Marco Estrada is becoming the Right Hand version of Manny Parra! Where is Prince Fielder when you need him?! lol..... This is definitely starting to become a mental thing with him. He is leaving way too many pitches up in the zone. I turned the channel right after that Grand Slam. Lost 6-2 I see. Brewers have been resilient after games like this. Hope they come out and pitch and hit better tomorrow night. Losing confidence when Estrada pitches. Very disappointing.

    Thank you! Tom Hardicourt should verify before posting going forward. They ought to keep Braun 2nd in the order even when Ramirez is ready to come back. I like it they moved Gomez down in the order. And LuCroy batting 3rd works for me.

    Ryan Braun is bating 2nd today. Saw it mentioned this is the first time since 9/20/10 that he batted 2nd. That's not correct per Baseball Reference. Corey Hart batted 2nd that day. Another link I found via Google claims it was 9/10/10. But once again that's wrong as well. Corey Hart batted 2nd that day as well. So what was the official last game that Ryan Braun started and batted 2nd? It's sad I have to sit and fact check for the sports writers.

    Curious if anyone knows where I can find a fan video of the moron that ran on the field last night to meet Derek Jeter? I honestly can't believe from the still photo he actually made it into the infield.

    I still like Braun. But I do feel some resentment for him lying as long as he did. I honestly believe whatever he took was for the groin injury he had in August and September of 2011. Why the heck doesn't he come out and at least tell us fans what he used and why? It's pretty obvious by his 2012 numbers that PED's had nothing to do with his ability to play the game. Now maybe he won't divulge the details as it may be of a sensitive health nature. But geez, at least give us fans who feel some betrayal something. Man is it that hard?     This guy reminds me of Ben Hendrickson. All the hype and hope and nothing but let-down after let-down. Roenicke hung this kid out to dry last night as the bullpen has been used more over the past week. I thought when he came to get him that would be the start of his progression back to Triple A where he belongs. The guy has control issues. Fortunately I missed his debut and relief appearance. Saved myself some serious distress. lol! Hellwig needs more time in the minors period.

    K-Rod is pretty good. Glad he is back. That pitch he threw last night to end the game was NASTY. And I can still remember all the shots being taken at him when it was announced he had been signed a few months back. I can still recall seeing verbal rips before and after I had asked what was going on with him in the other thread. Save #300 could happen as early as this afternoon. Glad the Brewers were able to get him back at a reduced salary.

    Someone tell me where all these RUMORS of Ramirez and Hart being traded in July before the deadline are set in stone? Come on if you want to spread conjecture take it to the rumors section. These moves were made today to try and shake the club awake. We now have a left handed hitting first baseman who will likely platoon with Betancourt until Hart is back. We also have a younger player brought up to push Weeks. I honestly think Weeks needs to have his eyes checked.

    WOOT! I am back from Yuku hell and get to post after ANOTHER demoralizing display by the Blowpen. Sigh - this season is kind of paralleling 2009. Except the way they are losing games is getting very hard to take. I didn't even turn the game on last night. And today I got home in the 6th inning and kind of peeked at the TV. I turned around to peek in the 9th just as the Rockies were charging home plate to celebrate. Someone make it stop!

    Not going to vent - I understand BF.net's policy on that. I am just going to make an observation. Anyone else wonder if Shawn Marcum was channeling Jeff Suppan from September until tonight? What happened to him? Seriously, if he was hurt or just got the dead arm why was he allowed to continue pitching all of these games? Just leaving that out there. Still only 6th inning, there is a window but it's closing quickly. Come on guys, let's see a comeback. I don't want to feel the pain I felt 29 years ago again.
