That is cool that you like to score games. I score a few but I am usually there with a group of friends, so I dont have the peace and quite to do so. I imagine all of the other things going on is to help hold the attention of the casual fan. I think that is the type of fan they are trying to attract.
When the EAS came on my television it did give me all of that information the 2nd-5th time it played. It gave the names of the children, what they looked like and what they were wearing.
Yea...a lot of jobs come with crummy situations. I did a year of student teaching and received $0. In fact, I had to pay in. I have a hard time sympathizing in this situation.
The strike zones in LLWS and softball are notoriously horrible but not in the way where there's only one called strike in 39 pitches. I've honestly seen strike calls that are thrown in the opposite batters box. It's horrible. Yea. I realize the strike zone is usually huge, but the bit I saw tonight made it seem like this ump needed the ball right down the middle. When pitch counts are so important I'm guessing the winning team burned a ton of pitches to get a victory.
I think if they would have forced out 3rd then 2nd they would have not counted the run. Since they went to 2nd first that takes the force away from 3rd.
Just over a month ago Gomez did complain about his hips, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that there was indeed concern on the Mets part. This is why I'm hoping we can trade Gomez. He appears to be slowing down, but that's just me.
I'm sure they think the mechanics they try is to help preserve the arm. But if the kid flames out then they never get to use the arm anyways. If you don't like the mechanics...don't draft him.
