  1. To me(just the eye test), his swings have looked better and more natural. Last year he looked like he was trying to slap everything, whereas this year he actually looks like he is taking good hacks. Now, maybe he is all messed up, or maybe it is something else, but his swing looks better to me. I too, am not a professional though, so my opinion means little.
  2. To each their own. Just because a few say something doesn't make it the consensus, just like 1 start doesn't mean it isn't true. I say this as someone who isn't worried about Nelson. The last guy I remember with a told ya so attitude was a real treat to read.
  3. Could probably do without the tone and told ya so. That said, it is just one start. I think he will be fine, but I'm not going to let one start change my mind.
  4. We sure have seemed to hit into the shift a good amount this series.
  5. True, but at least the swing looks more natural this year. Last year was a mess for Braun, so that looks like a plus.
  6. His swings have looked good and different from last year. Although missing when they are down the middle.
  7. High 80s pitch count early in the season. I can see his thought process there...but why Broxton? There were two great lefties due up...
  8. Guys...it was a curveball that got away. It wasn't him trying to go up and in. Retaliation on that would look silly. You don't back someone off with a curveball. I do say this as someone who grows tired of Ron and his decisions...this was not one to retaliate on.
  9. I agree with you FV. It surely 'seemed' like calls went against us in both games(the missed shot clock call of course was a big play, but so was the 3 that got wiped out when the guy slid beneath Gasser). Although, I typically look through red colored glasses so my opinion may be skewed. It's weird to hear the one stand by judge say he saw the replay but wasn't sure if he should call the refs back over because he didn't want to change the game...well, by not calling them over it could very well have changed the outcome. It's over. I do believe Duke played better given how the game played out, but this is a tough pill to swallow knowing we most likely wont have a realistic shot at a title for many years to come.
  10. Disagree here. I felt Kentucky had a lot of foul calls go their way. With that being said, the shot clock violation was missed...but that wasnt reviewed. I'm upset with the review not being over turned. There were a few and 1s called against them in the Duke game that could have gone the other way as well.
  11. Sooo, are we tipping pitches? A really nice eye by rock there.
  12. How can these mediocre pitchers continue to make us look awful...oh yea, we are mediocre.
  13. How can these mediocre pitchers continue to make us look awful...oh yea, we are mediocre.
  14. I think he just didn't want to throw it to 2nd...lol. either way, pathetic. Jordan Lyles...yikes.
  15. I am assuming the refs didn't get all of the angles that were shown to the fans. I agree, it's hard to fathom how anyone who saw the replay doesn't think it went off of Winslow. Duke deserved to win because they played better and the Badgers seemed to get away from what they had done all year the final 5-10 minutes. However, it would have been nice to be down 5 with 1:51 left as opposed to 8 with 1:30ish left.
  16. His usual 88. All his pitches were getting pounded. Hit low 90s a few, but everything was up. Two seamer landing in the middle of the plate. Even most outs were stung.
  17. My gf works with his wife and we put in already, but I'd be in otherwise. What a sad story. Young.
  18. I own a personalized jersey because it was bought as a gift. I wear it once or twice a year to make that person feel good but I don't care for them typically.
