  1. It makes total sense. The catcher should have the right to try to catch the ball. It's not his fault if the ball is up the line. If he has to move into the base line to catch it, so be it. That's fine, but then he should be able to get run over, and maybe he is and I don't know the new rule well.
  2. One of the analysts said it wasnt blocking the plate because the path of the ball took him into the line...which really doesnt make any sense. So if the ball takes you into the line to catch it you can then be in the way and cause the runner to reroute himself? Guy should have tried to run into AJ. That would have been interesting...because the runner was tiny next to AJ.
  3. Cardinals given two calls tonight that helped provide them a win. Frustrating to see even though I'm sure it evens itself out.
  4. I don't have a problem with the call, just terrible bunting by Segura. The only way you stop it is by a pitch out, which they didn't do. If he gets the bunt down the run scores. If, ifs and buts were candy and nuts...we'd all have a party. It surely isn't as easy as simply saying it.
  5. An entire innings worth of pitches that kershaw doesn't have to throw too...
  6. Looks out to me...if so that's 3 outs on the bases in the last two innings...
  7. Totally agree, let him go into his next start confident. Send him out tired for the 4th time through the order, he gives up a couple, totally kill the mojo of his outing. It doesn't have to be like that. You could send him out for the 9th and pull him if a single baserunner is allowed before two outs are recorded. That's how I'd do it rather than living and dying by #100 pitches. Many pitchers don't like entering with runners on.
  8. I hope he gets sent out in the 9th for a shot at the CG. No chance.
  9. Ha, maybe bringing Gorz in for Panik would have been the right idea...
  10. That's a common play when runners are on first and 3rd. I wouldn't blame anyone but Braun for swinging. Except his first move was back to 3rd I did not see that. Typically its a go off the bat type of situation.

  12. Yes, and it looked like the Brewers would be one of those teams. Until Thornburg went down, KRod came back down to earth and Smith turned into a LOGGY. Flying under the radar during all this was Ryan Braun morphing into Kevin Mench. Blue with the mench comment? Unless you're talking about pitch selection.
  13. Yes, well he does that everytime anyways. Khrush looks to be pressing...hopefully not on this ab.
