  1. True. I just mentioned younger studies as that is who I work with.
  2. Yea, I drove past a few bars near me in Waukesha County last night, they were all still closed. I would bet most places weren't prepared to open this suddenly. Also, there's a lot of places that will wait until there's more clarity on all this. A bat in our city opened up over the weekend. Basic ssid they were going broke otherwise and were willing to risk it. Saw pictures. Place was packed. Owner said they were going to practice social distance and such...yea, no. The Sherriff went to 'investigste', but he had already gone public saying he disagreed with the extension. It's just tough because there are so many mixed messages.
  3. I had a buddy send me a picture from a bar in Fondy last night. Follows all the orders and agrees with them. Said he needed to get some time away from his wife. Said they were at each others necks. Seems like a different issue here and probably not the norm...Weird logic as well. Follows and "agrees" with the orders, goes to a bar within minutes of them being struck down. Yea. Weird. Just pointing out that not 'everyone' disagrees with the orders.
  4. How does this work exactly? Business says they are opening back up...are you allowed to say, nah and just keep collecting? Do you stop getting government assistance since it's open now? I really have no idea how any of the unemployment stuff works.

  6. Question for everyone. Say a vaccine is developed within 6 months. How long until you are willing to take it? Have your kids take it? I am not an anti-vaxx person, but it makes me nervous taking a rushed vaccine. Am I overthinking it?
  7. Deputy superintendent(or someone from DPI, cant remember), just said on the news that he expects the school year next year to look a lot different. Said either 100% online or a hybrid type of system. Also said he wasnt sure about after school activities. I for one, am not looking forward to teaching online again...especially with incoming second graders. My friend is concerned for his incoming kindergarten son learning to read. Again, I could not imagine not making those connections with students. At least young students.
  8. Sweet. Didnt notice that. I did see that AHL is saying they may not be able to have a season if games are played in empty barns. That would suck.
  9. Yea, it's pretty funny. I mean, who of us hasnt tried the ol Eiffel Tower with our brother?!?! (Me).
  10. Was just coming to say this. My favorite line from him to be sure. Love him in King of Wueens as well.
  11. When we enacted them? I agree. Two months later and a bevy of data suggesting this is nowhere near what we were told it was going to be? Yes. The only deaths occurring in MN are in nursing homes. Not tens and hundreds of thousands of young and middle aged people. The coming crisis of healthcare and employment is about to make this virus look laughable if we don’t stop the bleed. It's also entirely possible that the safer at home extension helped keep numbers down. I hope you are correct and the numbers dont skyrocket, but I am not confident in that. I for one am happy we were proactive and not reactive. I cannot imagine the difficulty in the decision to keep people at home/open things up.
  12. Pleading for cases to keep nonsensical and irresponsible lockdowns in place scheduled to end here soon. I'll be shocked if places dont start opening up once this latest lockdown is scheduled to end. Nonsensical and irresponsible? Not in my opinion.
  13. I personally dont doubt the numbers. Yea they are probably off some but not enough to change the numbers greatly. I mean, some people have zero care that this is going on and are treating it as life as normal, so I'm not shocked to see higher numbers than than other countries. And good call by them to test everyone at the door. I think all businesses should be doing something like that. Edit: I may have misread it. Are they just getting tested or are they checking temps daily too?
  14. One thing that would help is if businesses took this a little more seriously. Places have opened up here and are operating like business as usual. Check temperatures at the door, etc.
  15. Just binged Locke and Key with my wife today. Was pretty good I thought. At least I wanted to keep watching what happened next.
  16. Yeah, I've been waiting for the Drew Carey Show to come out on dvd for years, but no luck. Just Season 1. Apparently there was an issue with the music rights, so rather than release it with a fake soundtrack, they choose to not release it at all. I'm glad of that though, I don't want it with crappy fill in music. Yea, I've read that's the issue with Yes Dear too.
  17. My wife loved Yes Dear when we were in college. So, her birthday is coming up and I realize Yes Dear is on no streaming devices. Okay, no problem. I'll just buy the DVDs for her bday. Wrong. It's like the show never existed. The only spot that I have found looks like some bootleg sketchy site where the creator lacks basic grammar skills.
  18. I am currently rocking a mullet and a mustache with cutoff sleeves everyday. I feel it's the person I've become.
  19. This is where I'm at. I have this bad feeling that they wont be able to come up with a vaccine. Hopefully they figure out good treatment plans.
  20. I wouldnt do much. I would have a hard time staying away from the softball diamond or hockey rink though. I wouldnt go to restaurants and that. Our softball league got cancelled for the year. Of course I would have been unable to play this year. Our league in town has said they are planning on having it. My issue will be the weekend tournaments. We usually play in 6-8 of those a summer too.

  22. Yea, arent they supposed to have no team contact. Just another instance of Brady breaking a small rule.
  23. I used to donate when I was in college. Basically it's the same as donating blood. They filter out the plasma and then return your blood to you the same way they took it. That's assuming they do it the same way for this. Right on. Thanks for the info.
  24. So I'm reading the hydrocychloriquine(sp?) studies have not gone well and in one of them it actually killed more than helped. Sucks that it didnt have a noticeable effect for people, but perhaps we can leave that alone for the people that it was intended. Hopefully the plasma angle works. I know nothing of donating plasma. Is it similar to giving blood?
  25. I read the AG is going to take legal action against states not opening up. Isnt that the opposite of states rights?
