  1. Just finished season 12, the final season, of Big Bang Theory. Great show, full of likeable characters. I admit I liked the show better before everyone got married and kids started popping out of Bernadette, but still, a solid show for 12 years! Rarely did I watch an episode that didn't make me laugh out loud at least one time. (usually multiple times) I used to watch it when it was on the air, but it was hit and miss. I appreciated it a LOT more watching it all in order from seasons 1 -12. My wife and I have been watching Young Sheldon since it started, and it's pretty good, but I feel it is running it's course...
  2. Being a teacher, I sometimes dream of a job that you punch in, and punch out, and don't spend all your non work hours thinking about work related stuff...
  3. I unfortunately have. It's terrible. Don't waste your time. lol That is what I was afraid of... Thanks!
  4. My students have been talking about a movie on NETFLIX that they think is just hilarious. I realize that most of the time, what high school kids think is hilarious, I find not hilarious, but has anyone seen the following movie, and can recommend it to adults? The Wrong Missy They have told me it was pretty nasty and vulgar, which is really all it takes high school students to love it. lol
  5. We paid off our mortgage about 6 years early by paying extra every single month we had the mortgage. We tried to pay $200 extra a month, and as time went on, we started paying $500 extra once we were financially set. I never figured out how much we saved in interest by paying it off early, but it had to be A LOT over the life of the loan. It was like being released from prison when we paid our last mortgage payment...
  6. I watched "Don't Look Up" this past weekend on Netflix. I am not a Netflix subscriber, but my son has an account, and while he was home on break we watched it. It was entertaining and had plenty of characters to absolutely HATE. The parallels to today's society are too many to mention, but watching it made me realize just how sad we are as humans. It was a bit long (2:21) but worth the watch if you have the time.
  7. I can't see throwing out 700 dvd cases though... I have the storage system already in place, just want to weed out the ones I don't think I'll ever want to see again. Those cases you posted would be great if you moved around a lot though...
  8. So you're through all the "8" movies? lol I'm into the "A" movies, all my number movies have been viewed and reviewed. Kept some, dumped some, but I'm still chugging along. It will literally be years before I get through them all, but with retirement coming in June, I'll have the time...
  9. I think I'm done with Marvel. Soooo many movies, tired of trying to keep up. For me, they just aren't as good as they used to be. There was a time I'd look forward to them, now with every new release I just roll my eyes and dread going. Yup, that is a sign, I'm done with them...

    Pizza

Just so the board knows, Pothole frozen pizzas at Kwik Trip are BOGO free the day after Packer victories. Not sure if that carries over into the playoffs, but for the regular season games, it is still going on. Super deal on GREAT pizzas.

    Pizza

if you have a Jet's Pizza nearby you should give it a try Yeah, Jet's is pretty good. Nice change of pace from the Little Ceaser's and Pizza Hut types (both of which I enjoy). I've never tried Marco's but will at some point. I've heard good and bad about them.
  12. So good!
  13. LOL 25 hours and $5 extra for 150 hours? I get unlimited for free with YouTube TV. But you keep on doing you and paying for that horrible customer service. We will see you in 2-years from now when you are again complaining about how they won't bring the price down for you. 2 years? If it is really that bad, I won't stay 2 years, no contract. I can handle $120 a month (including the larger dvr storage, internet, and tv) and be able to watch Brewers games. The Bally Sports channel is the deal breaker for me. I'll pay extra for that, no problem at all. I just see no reason to pay Spectrum $238 when I can get the same deal for 2 years with TDS for about $120-$125. If you guys who go back and forth between streaming services, and can't watch the Brewers, feel it's worth it for you and what you do, then have at it. I am not sticking up for TDS by any means, just seems like they are worth a try.
  14. TDS pricing: TV/Internet/Landline $118 including all fees and taxes. (we are not married to a landline, the only reason we still have it is because it was cheaper to have it with spectrum than dropping it due to their bundle pricing.) If we drop the landline, that is another $10 off the $118... so $108. Free Installation. DVR included with 25 hours, only $5 extra per month for 150 hours. Price is guaranteed for 2 years, no contract. Looks like I will get the same service I am getting now with Spectrum for less than half the cost. My neighborhood won't have TDS until the spring, but at least it looks like this is the way to go for a ton cheaper!!!
  15. Yes, very much so. The conservative side in any character seems to be taboo this days on television as well. They never step up and say it, but you know where Frank and his Dad lie, and probably Danny...
  16. Any "Chicago PD" or "Bluebloods" fans here? Been watching both shows from the beginning. Obviously, not as gritty as "The Wire" and "The Shield," but still good TV if you enjoy the cop shows...
  17. My wife and I watched OUR final episode of Big Sky this week. It was interesting when it started, but every episode this season has lead me to wonder why I'm still tuning in. The last episode was the deal breaker. Bye bye BIG SKY. this run has been less than desirable. I haven't watched last nights episode yet. It wasn't the last episode that made us quit watching, it was the entire season. This is just the week that we said "NO MORE!" We could have easily stopped watching weeks ago, but didn't.

  19. Longmire: I have 2 more episodes of season 5. Then starting the final season this weekend. Looking forward to seeing how this series ends...
  20. I have no cable contract. I can drop at anytime. (spectrum) I do have the boxes though.
  21. So, which steaming services actually have Bally Sports right now? Not in the future, or had it, but which services currently, as of today carry it? Bally Sports is a deal breaker for me, and the biggest reason I have stuck with cable. (well, that and I don't want to play streaming service bingo every other month)
  22. Seems to be the general feeling. Hard to believe a company that big can have such poor customer service and survive. I haven't seen or heard anyone say differently though, so obviously it's a problem.
  23. So do I need approval to post and view certain threads now?
  24. Ok, but it is relevant to me, so...
  25. lol That past couple of pages have not convinced me in the slightest that people who go through all the streaming, equipment, different services, etc, etc, etc have it any better than those of us who are over paying for cable. I will be checking into TDS as soon as it becomes available in my area, which will be pretty darn soon since they have been digging up the neighborhood the past week. Before making the switch, I of course will be giving Spectrum one last chance to come down in price, which will then have them politely telling me to go pound sand.
