  1. Marvel Movies. The market has been saturated beyond belief. I stopped trying to keep up, and imo, they became nothing short of boring special effect nonsense. Too bad, I used to really look forward to their openings, but it's too much, I'm done.
  2. Phillies signed INF Weston Wilson to a minor league contract. Wilson spent the last seven years in the Brewers' system and has displayed the defensive versatility to play across the infield diamond and the outfield as well. The 28-year-old gives the Phillies some additional organizational infield depth in the upper minors. He hit .228/.297/.358 with 11 homers and a career-high 17 steals in 462 plate appearances last season for Triple-A Nashville. Jan 2, 2023, 11:15 AM ET
  3. Agree, I'd rather spend a few million on Anderson than waste a prospect on a guy in decline.
  4. Agree, I'd rather spend a few million on Anderson than waste a prospect on a guy in decline.
  5. Giants signed C/OF Clint Coulter to a minor league contract. Coulter put up some exceptional offensive numbers the last two seasons for Triple-A Memphis in the Cardinals' minor league system. He posted a sublime .910 OPS with nine homers in 207 plate appearances over 54 contests this past season. The 29-year-old former first-round selection was a highly-regarded prospect with the Brewers a few seasons ago, but wound up stalling out in the upper minors. He has a shot to make it to the majors in San Francisco. Dec 31, 2022, 3:37 PM ET
  6. In the end, it won't surprise me in the least if we are unable to extend any of the 3. If that is the case, and the organization knows this now, maybe it's time to trade Burnes and Adames now, and Woody after next season. Burnes value may never be higher, he is the one I would look to trade immediately to maximize value. Once Correa is all straightened out, and we know where he is going, I'd be making calls to the teams that were not able to get their high priced SS this off season.
  7. 100% agree. If we are still in a playoff hunt at this year's deadline, no way they trade one of the big 3. If it is going to happen this season, it will between now and opening day. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they learned a lesson from trading Hader when they did. IMO
  8. I understand you are really high on Winker, but I think your fandom might be tainting your views a bit. The guy was horrendous last year, and has had major surgery in the off season. I truly hope he is all that you think he will be, but I don't think we can anoint him our savior just yet.
  9. Yeah, Winker is no guarantee, not sure why anyone is willing to die on that hill. I'm hoping we get the good version, but we could just as easily get last year's version. 50/50 shot imo.
  10. C'mon, all hitters have hot streaks that improve their OPS. That is a poor take. You could say the same about every single player. He needed consistent playing time, and a two week stretch late in the season isn't consistent. He was mis handled, and it's quite obvious. I hope that once we cut ties with him, via trade, or DFA, that he goes on to have a great career.
  11. You don't think it was important to seek a return on a #1 draft pick investment, that mashed righties? We desperately needed hitting last year and there were times the guy had one or two at bats a week, once even going 8 games with no plate appearances. Hiura was mis managed, simple as that. I know it goes against the front office can do no wrong narrative and all...
  12. Is he better than Urias? Serious question. At this point in his career, is he better?
  13. Maybe the Reds guaranteed more playing time than us?
  14. If only we can come up with a replacement for Urias. I smell a future trade happening and I think it will be sooner rather than later. There has to be a 3B out there that is major league ready, and that could be had for one of our outfielders, Mitchell would be my choice for trade bait.
  15. I just don't see them carrying 3 catchers on a daily basis.
  16. Looks like the Twins are getting Vazquez, 3 years - 30 million.
  17. I like these two guys better than all 3 of the guys we got for Renfroe.
  18. Maybe they can find an interested trading partner for Feliciano now that he is pretty much in no-man's land for the Brewers?
  19. This thought just creeped into my head. With Contreras signed for another 5 years (until after the 2027 season), where does Quero now fit into the plan. I'm high on this kid, and if he is ready to go in 2024, 2025 at the latest, what do we do about it?
  20. Maybe, Pina is going to back up Langeliers, so I can't imagine that Pina had any value in that deal. They must have REALLY wanted an outfielder bad, or wanted Ruiz bad to even involve us.
  21. I'd be on board with that! Would love to know what it will cost to sign him though.
  22. I'd love it a lot more with a real 3B and Frelick in place of Taylor.
