  1. Then we agree to disagree... I don't really care what cinemascore says, or any other publication, I thought it was not that great. It was just ok for me.
  2. Has anyone seen Yesterday?
  3. Spiderman Far From Home was ok... Slightly disappointing. The non-stop action CEI, tech scenes were just so long at times. My least favorite of the new Spiderman movies for sure.
  4. About Stranger Things, haven't seen season 3 yet, will there be a season 4, or did they wrap things up?
  5. Nice! Glad I have that to look forward to yet. On season 6 of GoT and the hits just keep coming! lol I so missed the boat on this show all these years... What episode are you on? Season 6 is my favorite. Last two episodes of that season are probably the best television I've ever watched. Episode 9 is so well done, choreographed, filmed, tense, gut wrenching, mind blowing. When it ends you think, how could any episode ever top that? And yeah, you missed out. Theories, cliffhangers, watching each new episode a couple of times to really soak everything in before the next Sunday. General talking with friends that are also watching. But you didn't miss out on waiting for long, long stretches between seasons especially towards the end. Just finished episode 2 last night. Quite the finish to that episode. On a side note, I don't think I would have thought I'd want anyone dead as bad as I wanted King Jeffrey dead, but Ramsey has proved me wrong! I sure hope he gets his, and I hope it is slow and painful...
  6. Nice! Glad I have that to look forward to yet. On season 6 of GoT and the hits just keep coming! lol I so missed the boat on this show all these years...
  7. Yamamoto just keeps rolling along... Jordan Yamamoto was outstanding in a no-decision against the Braves on Friday, striking out seven over six shutout innings. The right-hander scattered just two hits and three walks on the night. The 23-year-old has been phenomenal through his first five starts with the Marlins, registering a 1.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 30/15 K/BB ratio across 29 innings. Jul 6, 2019, 12:59 AM ET
  8. The outcome of that episode was fantastic. I was rooting for that outcome since being introduced to that character. Can't wait to see the effects on the rest of the season/series. I used to make fun of all the GoT fans around me, now I get it!
  9. Yeah, I am now 2 episodes into season 4. I have had some really late nights, but hard to turn it off. Glad I'm a teacher, I have some free time during the summer. My wife is not watching with me, surely a good choice on her part, she isn't a fan of the blood gore and violence. The show is just so engaging, and the multiple storylines are great, there is always something going on someplace. I can't believe how often they kill off main characters though. It exhausting.
  10. Sure you can! I did! Nope, there is no way, just finished season 3.....wow!
  11. Finished season 2 of GoT and am 4 episodes into season 3. Can't quit now!
  12. Just finished season one of GoT. I'm into it...
  13. Still, it appears that all 4 of these guys stand a chance of being at least MLB regulars. Highly unlikely that all 4 are MLB regulars. Unlikely, but totally possible. The crown jewel of that trade, Lewis Brinson, looks like the only bust of the bunch.
  14. Marlins recalled RHP Jordan Yamamoto from Double-A Jacksonville. Yamamoto will make his major league debut Wednesday night against the Cardinals. He's filling in for Jose Urena, who hit the injured list in a corresponding 25-man roster move with a lower back strain. Yamamoto, acquired from the Brewers in the Christian Yelich trade, had registered a 3.58 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 64/25 K/BB ratio through 65 1/3 innings (12 starts) this season at the Double-A level. The 23-year-old should carry some deep-league fantasy appeal. Jun 12, 2019, 2:59 PM ET Really liked this guy while he was in Appleton. He, Isan Diaz and Monte Harrison are going to help this Marlins team eventually, possibly as early as next year when all 3 of them will hit the MLB squad. Not sure if Brinson will ever pan out, but I truly think the other 3 will...
  15. Almost done with season 2 of Westworld. Meh. Starting season 1 of Game of Thrones next. I am that guy, the one who has never seen a single episode of GoT. That is about to change.
  16. Rocket Man is NOT a must see movie... In fact, I'd rather have my money back. About half way through, I started thinking about what I was going to do when I left the theatre. Started watching the clock, waiting for it to be over. Borefest.
  17. Thanks for the information. Will be checking that out at some point. Pretty sure it will be out on dvd in the near future so I can add it to the Deadwood series.
  18. Must be on HBO?
  19. Wait, what? There is a Deadwood movie?
  20. Yup, just started it. On episode 5. I like it so far... Really cool concept.
  21. Has anyone watched Westworld? It has been recommended to me and I admit, it looks interesting... Is it worth my time?
  22. Sad that "Big Bang Theory" is finished. I wasn't impressed with the finale, but I have watched that show since episode one. Will be missed.
  23. Colbert and most late night hosts are unwatchable for me. It would be nice if we as a society could separate entertainment form politics, but will probably never happen again. Politics has entered every form of entertainment from professional sports (NFL and ESPN) to sitcoms, to talk shows. I find it disgusting. Probably because I am a conservative, and there are so few conservative voices in our media.
  24. for sure... that was just bad tv.
  25. I stuck with House of Cards. First season was definitely the high point.
