  1. ...for minor league left-hander Jake Eder.
  2. Ok, great, so that game doesn't count then? Neato.
  3. but what has he done lately? I hope this works out for us, but I refuse to celebrate just because it was a Brewers move that was made,.
  4. If that is all we gave up, I'm fine, don't really see the point, but fine. If there is another piece that we are giving up (which could be the case, you never know), then I may change my mind.
  5. oh no, here comes the over-pay for an average RP... Please be wrong, please be wrong...
  6. I think he meant an extension for Hader, by the Brewers after acquiring him in the trade.
  7. I just have to question the writers fan affiliations a lot on this site. I know one of their writers is a bonafied Cubs fan, so I never give his articles an ounce of thought. Now I have to question others as well as these articles, especially the "trade" articles are a complete joke. They have to be written by fans of other teams, they just have to... It's quite sad really.
  8. ...and with their minor league system chock full of talent, it sure would have been nice to offer Burnes to them to see what we could get. Instead, the Oriloes will trade some of their top pieces (which we could have gotten in a Burnes trade), and we won't be able to see what Burnes true value would have been this off season.
  9. Seems like the typical relief pitcher deadline deal that the Brewers would make. An average, if not below average guy that we will over pay for, only to see him flounder. High ERA, walks too many guys, just a boring guy that won't move the needle in a positive direction.
  10. UGHHHHHH! When will this nonsense stop? Not a chance in hell Quero is traded for a bullpen arm that will be here for 2 months. *sigh*
  11. Do we really need an outfielder though? If that is the case, I'm assuming Wiemer is about to get his playing time cut big time. I think Canha is going to see a lot of DH at bats, not so much in the OF. Not a fan of this move.
  12. A minimal upgrade at best. Typical move to make it look like we made a move. Not a needle mover by any means.
  13. gross. We can probably stop talking about the possibility of a Jimenez deal now.
  14. ok, so I guess we can stop talking about a Jimenez trade.
  15. blech! Well, at least we didn't trade a promising rotation piece for a washed up, crappy bullpen arm.
  16. I hate the thoughts of including Lara in any deal...
  17. No thanks. If we are going to rely on Rowdy to give us some offense, it hasn't worked all year, not gonna happen now. Rowdy is dead to me.
  18. No thanks: Canha, Pham, DeJong, Duvall Maybe: Hernandez Yes please: Candelario, Verdugo
  19. I disagree. I think it would take an absolute star player to pry away any of these 4 guys: Chourio, Black, Quero, and Misiorowski. I think those 4 guys are as close to untouchable as it can get, and rightfully so.
  20. Gosh, I hope all you glass half full guys are correct, I really do! However, I have written off Rowdy completely. What a failure of a season. Adames same thing, I want no part of him once his contract is done, and at this point, I'm not sure anyone else in MLB does either. His trade value has plummeted. Trading Burnes and Woodruff is going to look super bad to the fan base, but they really have no choice. They just have to do it.
  21. 100% agree. Anyone thinking we'd have to give up Chourio alone for Kim is off their rocker, then you add in Quero and Misiorowski? That is absolute undeniable crazy talk. Had this come from Clancy, at least I could consider the source, but this writer is a full blood Cubs fan. Just can't take it seriously.
  22. He's got a point though. If I'm a fan of another rival team in the same division, and I am writing an article about trade possibilities, of course I'd be all for trading my future studs out of the division. This is not a personal issue with the writer, but having a Cubs fan as one of the contributing writers on a Brewers fan page is just not cool. Quite honestly, I don't usually bother to read his takes on anything Brewers related because his viewpoints are tainted, how could they not be?
