  1. I'll be left with a tough decision in one of my keeper fantasy leagues... Is Yelich even considered a keeper any longer at this point? I'll be deciding between Yelich, Muncy, Giolito, Framber Valdez, Freddy Peralta, and Bassitt for my final 2 keepers. I will be keeping Guerrero Jr, Bichette, Soto, Woodruff, Scherzer, and deGrom. Need to pick 2 of the other list, as we keep 8 total.
  2. What a giant waste of money JBJ is. It saddens me.
  3. I have seen the runner on 2nd called the ghost runner all season long. That is not the definition of a ghost runner. A ghost runner was when you didn't have enough players as a kid, and you'd have to pull a runner off the bases to bat. That is what a ghost runner is, not using a real live baserunner at 2B to start an inning because of a stupid rule to quicken games...
  4. I could see this happening - but probably not for at least another year. But yeah, Yelich as 1B might be in our best long term interests. Yeah, but only if he is hitting. Current Yelich at 1B isn't going to cut it offensively, and I'd guess he'd have some defensive struggles to add to his lack of offense, which puts us where we always seem to be at 1B...
  5. 100% truth!
  6. Yes, it would have been upheld, it was Derek Jeter...
  7. If we can only get a pitching prospect that projects as a #4 or #5, we better damn well be getting a prospect that projects REALLY HIGH on offense. #4 and #5 guys are not guys I'd consider as big pieces in a Woodruff trade. They'd need to be throw ins at this point.
  8. True, but it would be nice to add some homers to what he is doing too... Happy he has started turning things around, but I miss Power Yelich!
  9. HOUSER, it's HOUSER...
  10. I think maybe you are jumping the gun calling Lauer and Houser "top end starters." Yes, they have been impressive as of late, but top end? Top end to me is a #1 or #2, they are not that..........yet.
  11. If they believe that Ashby can step in as our #4 or #5 next season, full time, then I can see them moving one of the two. That would be a hit to our depth though, and you can bet that one or 2 of the starting rotation will be hurt at some point next year. I'd keep them both, unless of course we get an offer that can't be ignored. Let Anderson go...
  12. This made me laugh. Cain will more than likely top out at 100 starts. If we can get 130-140 for Yelich, that would be far more realistic.
  13. No, it was a weak infield hit to Wong. Wong had to make a good barehanded play to make it close. It was close too, but I think Segura was safe. Segura did a head-first slide too, which Rock chastised him for. as he should have...
  14. My guess is that both Scherzer and Buehler would get the nod over Woody and Burnes... Why you ask? LA, that is all that needs to be said. gross.
  15. Rowdy has been fine I think. He's still relatively young, cheap and has some upside. His solid defense at 1B has been a pleasant surprise. He's not Anthony Rizzo. Those guys are not easy to find. I'd say replacing Garcia in right will be the bigger issue. I am praying we don't just count on JBJ out there next year. No Garcia is going to weaken our OF for certain. Yelich, Old Man Cain, worthless JBJ and Taylor...
  16. Rowdy has been fine I think. He's still relatively young, cheap and has some upside. His solid defense at 1B has been a pleasant surprise. He's not Anthony Rizzo. Those guys are not easy to find. Question is, do we go into 2022 with Rowdy as our 1B, or do we go big and sign someone else that we know is our guy? It's a tough situation really. Rowdy shows us just enough at times to think we are covered at 1B, but is he our answer?
