That’s how I feel about it, although my daughters who have jobs may not be able to go to a weeknight game that will last 4 hours. Getting a WC spot but losing the WC game on the road wouldn't feel like making the playoffs. Would losing a WC game at home feel like making the play-offs? I don't see the difference to be honest. A one game play-off loss just seems so anticlimactic. I really don't like the one game play-off format. Seems like a cheap way for any team deserving a play-off birth to go out.

I don't like this match-up tonight. Marvel is a guy that we will more than likely struggle against if history means anything. How many times have we seen a pitcher for the first time that just stifles us? This seems like a trap game to me. Hope I'm wrong, REALLY hope I'm wrong.

IF Stearns re-signs Moose I think Shaw will be part of a trade to get another starter. Shaw may intrigue somebody like the Rangers who need a 3B and have both Lynn and Minor who would help the Crew. I shudder to think what kid of starter Travis Shaw would bring in a trade after the complete crap show of a season he just had...

He is probably just working on things on the side with either the bullpen coach or the pitching coach. Or against a trainwreck of an MLB team who has obviously given up. meh. I don't believe major league teams give up. Players still want to succeed, sometimes their futures, and contracts, are in jeopardy. I don't buy it when people say that teams, or players actually give up.

Brewcrewin07 two nights ago in the GT. Didn't show for a month, dropped in just to leave that gem, and disappeared into the night again. He's had a couple other posts since then. Sporadic. I knew there was no chance he'd go the rest of the season without posting... He was too much of a regular to go cold turkey. You know he reads this every night and is just itching to contribute...lol

and just like that Perez hurts us in the OF... CC loves him some Perez, always has, it must have killed him when he was DFA'd. No worries, he's back, and CC just has to play him, even with 3 other REAL OFers on the roster. I am BOOOOOOing CC!

Every time I see Perez starting, I gag a little. We see to have plenty of Ofers, and I don't care about the splits. Perez is terrible.

Imagine where we would be without signing Grandal and Moose this year. Great one year deals, and hopefully we get both back.

Don't forget that they beat us in our only world series in 1982. That will always be my #1 reason for my Cardinal hate.

I hope we can find a way to keep both Moose and Grandal. I’m not sure how feasible it is, but both of them have been huge for us during this surge. 100% agree, but if that happens, I highly doubt we get any frontline pitching, relief or starting. We desperately need someone to pair up with Woodruff next year imo.
