  1. I'd hate to think about our line-up 6-8 if Cain continues to suck offensively... 6. Cain, 7. Pina and 8. Arcia and then the pitcher? If we keep Arcia, Cain just plain has to be better with the bat. We can't run that crap out there daily. Pina is a great back up catcher, but we already know his act doesn't play as the regular every day catcher. I want a hitting SS next year, then we can breathe easier. (assuming of course that we still have Moose or a better option at 3B than Shaw.) If we keep Grandal, that would help a ton. If Pina isn't our regular catcher, then it is just Cain and Arcia at the bottom along with the pitcher.
  2. Cubs and Rizzo faking severity of his injury? Anthony Rizzo (ankle) was able to run on the field, and show the Cubs' training staff that he can run the bases comfortably, prior to Thursday's showdown against the Cardinals. Rizzo was supposed to be in a walking boot for 5-7 days folling his MRI on Monday, but he was in full uniform testing out his ankle prior to Thursday's game. That just goes to show how important every game is for the Cubs right now. While it's a crazy thought, perhaps Rizzo could be available off the bench on Thursday. 3. It's gonna be a long 3 years with old man Cain on this roster...
  4. Are people really calling him terrible? Brewcrewin07 popped into the game thread yesterday for the first time in a month just to tell us how terrible Grisham is, and then bailed. He was supposedly done posting for the year but couldn't quite honor his word...
  5. At the very least, it improves your chances...
  6. that could have been called a strike just as easy as a ball...
  7. I LOLed looking at Padre fans on Twitter calling Brewers fans racist for booing Machado. Seems about right...
  8. They aren't boooing the umps call Rock, they are booing the punk. Drink.
  9. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  10. The worst part of that was the ump following CC towards the dugout. That is flat out wrong. Absolutely, CC had retreated towards the dugout, that is just an ump wanting veryone to know how powerful he is. Unprofessional.
  11. I don't like the fact that we had a man on 3rd base, and BA is praying for a mistake rather than a hit. He has been conditioned over the course of the season to almost KNOW that a hit ain't gonna happen, so he hopes for a defensive mistake. He almost got his wish.
  12. I don't care what anyone says, it's nice to see your manager get fired up at times... Go CC!
  13. If that were true, I doubt he would have hit in the 3rd...
  14. Horrible booing for the Punk? No such thing, he deserves all he gets.....and then some. Drink.
  15. Nice play there by Arcia to get the PUNK! Drink.
  16. So basically, the Central is still up for grabs. Only 3 teams left to fight for the 2 remaining wildcard spots after the Central is decided. This is fun, but stressful. So much better than not having a shot, SO MUCH BETTER!
  17. It's too bad the Cubs fan that bestowed the legacy of Coach Cooper upon us, is not here to see it!
  18. I always pictured him as more of a High Life kind of guy. Unless he's trying to be cool with the hipsters. Coach Cooper drank PBR when drinking PBR wasn't cool...
