  1. Manny has had so few at bats recently, not surprised he looked over-matched in that situation.
  2. Take him aside and tell him to stop it already! That is like 3 head first slides into 1B by Perez in the last week. STOP IT!
  3. I REALLY wish Perez would freaking stop the head first slides into 1B... It is faster to run through the bag then to slide. Geez man...
  4. Why not wait to see if Quintana stays in the game before showing your pinch hitting hand?
  5. So about a week ago, we started hearing noises, scratching, chewing/gnawing on metal and or wood, and little pitter pattering feet running in the attic and possibly soffits. It has now turned into a full fledged party every day around 4:00 - 5:30 pm, and anywhere from 2:00 am - 5:00 am. It is amazing the amount of noise they are making. We have lost a lot of sleep, physically and mentally, as I find this stuff stressful. We have wildlife control coming over tomorrow morning to do a full house inspection, and begin the removal process. It's $150 for the inspection alone, which they say will take 1.5 - 2 hours. All fees after that will be based on what they find. My fear is that the little creeps will chew through wires, continue to make other entry sites, and just cause a lot of damage that of course, we will have to pay to have fixed. I have looked high and low for entry points into the house and have found nothing. That is part of what the professionals will find, and plug. I think they are red squirrels, as that is the kind of squirrel we typically have in our neighborhood. Little guys, and very fast. Tonight I had to disassemble the entire shelving unit in my sons closet, as it is the only entryway into the attic. What a pain in the butt. Anyone ever have experience with using a wildlife control company to remove rodents from the attic, walls, etc? I will reply tomorrow evening after I know for sure what we are dealing with, but my money is on red squirrels.
  6. I'm gonna say it, that catch by Cain looked a little bit lucky. lol
  7. perfect throw wouldn't have even been close to getting him. that was poor.
  8. *sigh* Do you plan to say the same thing for each player that strikes out tonight?
  9. and what I have found over the years (I teach high school) is that the kids who were not born yet, or have no memory, just don't understand, and most just don't really care. To them, they have always had to go through the nonsense that we now have to go through at stadiums, airports, etc. The don't understand how different the world was pre-9/11 compared to today. It has slowly gotten less important to each year of students, to the point that now, even some of the Seniors were not born yet. The level of patriotism that evolved from that day has gone down the toilet in our world, based on political beliefs and hate. Patriotism has become somewhat of a dirty word, and on that day, it was what we were all about. It's sad really when you think about how that day brought our nation together, even if for a small amount of time. There was no race and no politics, just Americans, grieving together.
  10. CRAZY talk...
  11. Horrible, horrible day... Still hurts, and I didn't lose any loved ones that day...
  12. The numbers may generally look OK, but on the eye test he does not look good at the plate right now. He's swinging at bad pitches(especially inside FB) and missing hittable pitches. The guy just looks tired. By no means do I want to replace him long term, but I think a couple days off in a row to recover a bit could be very helpful down the stretch. With the offday Thursday, I'd be very surprised if Aguilar plays Wednesday. I personally would lobby to give him Friday off as well, allowing 3 straight recovery days. And he is halfway to the visitors dugout when he is at the plate... I haven't noticed this until recently, but anything on the outside corner and he has to physically lunge at it to reach it. I'm talking about strikes on the outside corner, not outside pitches. Coles has to notice this, right?
  13. Cargo shorts, tank top, and crocks... That's what I'd do.
  14. If only this offense would wake up...I feel like we have won a lot of games offensively recently on smoke and mirrors. If the offense can start scoring runs, we will be lethal! Win is a win regardless though! So nice to win that fist game of the series!
