    Since July 14th, Wheeler is 9-1... Seriously, check out his stats, not just his win loss record. He might be the best 2nd half pitcher in all of MLB.

    Judging by his second half, I think you might be surprised what he'd command. The guy has been stellar!

    That Pirate series was not our friend. 2 of 3 would have been sooooo much better for our chances.

    Trading one (for fair market value) isn't a crazy idea. Never said it was... I just think they won't, and hang onto all of them...

    Hopefully the Reds don't decide to play spoiler. I can just see them scoring no runs against the Cubs this weekend, then go on a tear vs us... This is a big series, like it or not, we have to take no less than 2 of 3.

    If I'm the Mets, I would deeply consider NOT trading one of Thor, deGrom, Wheeler, or Matz. Wheeler has become a true ACE this season, and Matz is finally looking at times like the guy they thought they had from the beginning. Those 4 at the top of your rotation, and healthy for a full season could do some big damage next year. They can sign some free agent bats and see what happens. The only way they trade Thor, deGrom or Wheeler is if the offer is an absolute screwjob for their trading partner. imo

    It will all work itself out, and the daily grind of who is winning against who is fun for some, and stressful for others.

    ...but that .240 average isn't enough for him to be in the running for any award.

    I would think we'd be getting Pina at least half of the at bats to keep him game ready for the playoffs. This makes zero sense unless there is a nagging injury that no one knows about.

    In all other awards settings, MIP = Most IMPROVED Player. There are 2 ways to take that. Most improved from the 1st half to the end of the season, or most improved from last season to this one.

    He's cooled because he never gets at bats... I don't know why it's so hard for CC to figure out that guys need to play to be productive.

    We are in a bad situation having to count on the pathetic Reds... They will lay an egg in the Cubs series, but come out with guns blazing against us, watch and see.

    While we are talking about concessions at Miller Park, I find it almost impossible to believe that they no longer sell chorizos since the sausage company change. It's just crazy considering the chorizo is one of our most famous mascots.

    I can see the Cubs fans being a little upset about it. Brewers fans are not exclusuve in questioning mangagerial decisions... Not even close!

    I can't imagine Moose staying based on his sporadic playing time. If we keep Shaw, it will be the same thing next year. What would entice him to stay?

    Probably not feasible to work in the schedule, but at the very least, that WC game should be best of 3 series...

    Are guys with giant red beards typically fast baserunners? The hipster beards that some of these guys are wearing these days are the opposite of athletic looking. Are there women in this world that actually like that look?

    Agreed I want no part of the Dodgers and Kershaw in the playoffs, wildcard or whatever... As much as it would suck the high hard one to lose to the Cards, our chances are far better than vs the Dodgers.

    Soria just can't have a clean inning... That trade may end up being be a total loss.
