  1. KC wins the trade hands down. They made the World Series, we did not... There are 2 starters on a World Series team that were part of the trade, plus were able to acquire Shields (Odorizzi being a key part to that trade). We got one playoff series win with Greinke on our team, and then he was gone. *poof* KC wins that trade.
  2. I agree with Bombers and Invader, I'll be tuning into each and every game with the hopes that the Royals win and the freaking Giants lose!!!
  3. I'm fine with one year, but two is pushing it. Too bad we don't have someone in the pipeline ready to take over 3B, but we don't, so it won't surprise me in the least if we sign him for the extra year. If we give him three years, I'm going to flip out!
  4. Still better than where we are now... (WS appearance 32 years ago, with no relief in sight...)
  5. I can't understand anything Pedro Martinez is saying... I find it hard to believe that some of these guys have jobs in broadcasting. The worst is Shannon "mushmouth" Sharpe though... I find it so hard to believe that Baltimore couldn't even win one single game. This Royals team looks like a team of destiny! Go Royals!
  6. I posted this before with no comments: Is there a chance that Yost learned from past mistakes and is now a better manager than he was during his time in Milwaukee? Seriously... I've watched the playoff games, he seems to have a pretty good handle on his team, at least he doesn't start Mark Kotsay in CF...
  7. Sandoval is going to cost a boatload of cash... I don't think we can compete with the big boys for his services. What has Morse done to warrant so much enthusiasm?
  8. I wouldn't even call him a "good" base runner, much less superior... He does idiotic things on the base paths that little leaguers are taught NOT to do. He is a fast base runner, I will give him that much, but the league is full of fast guys.
  9. Neck tattoo out for the remainder of the post-season... Couldn't have happened to a better guy.
  10. Hardy is a solid defender, but he doesn't have the range to put him in the "best defensive shortstop" category... Do I wish he had stayed a Brewer though? YES!
  11. I admit it kind of depresses me that we could have Cain, Escobar and Odorizzi without that trade, but what's done is done...
  12. How much does it cost to do this? Sounds awesome!!!
  13. The team quit on Sveum? I don't recall that being the case...
  14. Can we just trade Greinke for Cain and Escobar? Oh wait...
  15. You'll get no argument from me at all. If we can find someone to boost our minor leagues with a giant trade for Gomez, I think we'd have to consider it. It got to the point for me, at the end of this season, I just plain couldn't stand to watch the guy any longer. His over swinging and screwing himself into the ground, his poor little league base running and over aggressiveness to the point of stupidity just took it's toll. I'm done with him, and I hope DM can trade him now, while he still has some inflated value on the market. When things are going good for the team, it is easy to just say that is Carlos being Carlos, but when things are going bad, and he continues the same behaviors that now kill the team, it isn't so easy to overlook all the stupid things he does... It's kind of like when we had Nyjer. When things were going right, it was fun to watch him, even when he sometimes looked like a jackass, but when things were not going so well, it was easy to understand why non-brewer fans hated the guy... Now is the best time to move Gomez, if we can find the deal that makes it worth it (future 3B or 1B especially), we just have to do it...
  16. ^ Completely agree... I find it hard to root against either team, just great baseball to watch. I am hooping KC wins the series, but I am fine with the O's winning it too. Unrelated: Is there a chance that Yost learned from past mistakes and is now a better manager than he was during his time in Milwaukee? Seriously...
  17. Doesn't matter who plays the Cardinals, they will lose. God has a plan.
  18. Man, the stadium sure sounds loud! What an electric atmosphere, I'm jealous.

  20. I won't bother to air my displeasure about RRR, but Sedar keeping his job is horrible...
  21. He seems to be well liked by the players from what I've observed. Yup, that is the perefect reason to keep someone, the players like him... I would have to think that is why RRR was able to keep his job as well.
