  1. His status had been up in the air after the team's late-season collapse, but ownership ultimately decided to bring Roenicke back. The Brewers did let go of hitting coach Jerry Narron and first base coach Garth Iorg. Roenicke has guided Milwaukee to a 335-313 record over four seasons. 2. I think you are wasting your time, I think he keeps his job one more year, only to get canned after the 2015 season. May as well start with a new guy now, no need to wait, we all know what RRR brings to the table...
  3. My feelings exactly. I hate 3 teams in MLB, the Red Sox, the Cards, and the Giants... I'm so sick of all 3...
  4. Twin Peaks is a series/show I have always had plans to see, but never have... I think I am going to make an effort to check it out. I have also never seen Northern Exposure, but have a buddy who quotes that show all the time. That is another one I'd like to see.
  5. I kind of feel that since they haven't said anything, it means he is staying for another year.
  6. As much as I'd like to see St. Louis lose the World Series, I just can't root for them to get there, under any circumstance. I just think that if they get there, they will win it, and that is unacceptable to me.
  7. For the same reasons we never retaliate... What those reasons are, I don't know, but we do the same thing the Dodgers did, nothing...
  8. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  9. I'm talking about now vs. the 70's or 80's - regardless of the state. I wasn't born yet, so I don't know what it was like then, but that must have been horrible. It seems like people don't think of a DUI as a big thing in Wisconsin. I don't think that is true, there is a stigma attached to drunk driving these days... It's a big thing all right, but it doesn't stop a LOT of people from doing it anyway.
  10. With Spahn on the mound... Oh my gosh, how awesome would that be?
  11. Not for that kind of money, no way... 3 to 4 million max. I will not miss the twenty minutes of terror if he signs on with someone else, let him be their problem from here on out.
  12. This. It is far too soon to give up on Jean. All the issues he had this season had to wear on him. I'm giving him a pass in hopes that next year we see what he is really capable of.
  13. The inability for people to enter their vehicles without being hooked up to their phones in some way, either talking on the phone while driving, or texting while driving... They don't seem to care that they are a complete and total hazard on the roadway, they just don't care and it makes me extremely angry that I have to avoid them almost daily... When are people going to get a clue how bad this is for everyone around them. Maybe killing someone because they were on their phone will wake them up, but even that I don't think will make a difference with people who can't stay off their phones for more than a couple minutes at a time. It makes no sense, and it is quite sad that our society has accepted this behavior for so long... What is it going to take? Seriously, what? People suck!
  14. All these teams with the players with the big beards? I think it looks stupid... Jason Werth looks like a Charlie Manson reject. I would imagine they make for some pretty ugly baseball cards.
  15. Sure would be nice to have Lorenzo Cain back in a Brewers uniform... That cements it, I'm going to root for the Royals from here on out!
  16. KC looking tough again! I'm hoping it's KC vs Baltimore for the AL, and Washington vs the Dodgers for the NL. I do not want to see the Giants or Cards in the world series, but if either make it, at least I have a vested interest in rooting against them, no matter who they play. I just really dislike the Giants...
  17. I'm pretty sure there was a gang (I think in Cailifornia) back in the day that used the Brewers ball and glove as their gang logo... Not saying he is gang affiliated, just making a general statement about the logo.
  18. I agree with this to a point... I do not want to trade any of our future talent, the guys that we are pretty sure are going to be future Brewers in 2 to 3 years. We trade Coulter and the like, and taking that step back is going to be for a lot longer time period. I'm not against going for it one more year, but not at the cost of our young talent.
  19. He should have started his last game, without question... That is a blunder in my opinion, and any leader worth a damn would have realized that, even if Rickie himself didn't want to play, he should have been talked into it.
  20. I don't think he is selling them though. Just because you ask a ridiculous price doesn't mean anyone is paying it... Myself, I wasn't going to go all in on the marathon bobble. It's the same freaking bobble as the regular SGA version except for the shirt... I hate the Hank bobbles to begin with, they look stupid in my collection, and the Hank hype grew annoying quickly. The ONLY reason I have one is because I got mine for $40.
  21. Most are currently selling in the $20 - $25 range... Pretty much what I expected to happen, and in the coming months, you should be able to pick these up for $15 is my guess... Even the Marathon bobbles aren't bringing in the huge bucks like so many thought... It's a simple fact, Brewers bobbles are just not holding much value these days. They give out too many per season, and they give out too many of each one at the games... The days of having to attend each bobble game are long over. Smart move now is to pick them up on the secondary market a month or 2 after the give-away. That is when they go cheap.
