I don't see Corey Hart as being a guy who will ever recover and go on to be anything close to his career averages. I think he is done, and possibly the only reason anyone would consider him is that he WAS a Brewer. If that was not the case, I don't think he would be mentioned here in any way.

Has Gordon ever played a single game at 1B or 3B? If not, then I can't see this happening. Regardless of what a lot of people think, not just anyone can play the hot corners in MLB. All the talk on these boards of moving player A to 1B because it is an easy transition is unfounded.......in my opinion. -
I was worried when I saw that a deal was imminent to a contending NL team this morning. Thank god it was not us.

Worse than Starting Mark Kotsay in CF in a pivotal play-off game bad? I will never get over that one. Yost had no starting pitchers to speak of, RRR has it so much better than Yost did. I am not going to make myself sick, and stick up for Yost, but RRR is in the same ballpark as Yost when it comes to horrible managing of baseball games. He may not be Ned Yost bad, but the difference is small in my opinion...

Latest on Howard: CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Phillies are "working hard to find a suitor for Ryan Howard." Howard has hit just .236/.306/.418 over the last three seasons and is still owed $70 million, but Heyman says the Phillies "would be willing to eat much or most" of the contract. Heyman adds that a trade of Howard would "presumably" be to an American League team looking for a designated hitter. Two general managers told Heyman that they believe Howard could be worth around $5 million per year in such a role. Howard has a no-trade clause that allows him to block a deal to 20 teams. Howard is running on fumes and name recognition alone. Please, please, no Ryan Howard occupying a Brewer uniform.

Napoli = over rated, I do not want to give up anything of future value for him, he is not a difference maker in this line-up. It would be nice to have him, but at the cost it will probably take, I am not interested. Why is Davis such a a concern? So many people said the same thing before this season started, and he has done just fine, better than fin in fact... He has had a lot of clutch hits, game winners and tiers. I have no concern about this kid, he is a hitter. not related to Boston, but I also want nothing to do with Ryan Howard. He is so past his prime and is running an name recognition alone. He is terrible. So, I say no to Peavy, Napoli (unless we get him for REALLY cheap, and Howard. (from another thread)
