  1. People show up 3.5 hours early for an autograph? That is hardcore!
  2. Uggh, not again. Peavy is so past his prime, and is no better than any option we are currently using.' No thanks.
  3. I took it as FREE. meaning for nothing, you know, FREE! No trade, no contract, FREE...
  4. Seriously? Are you sure about that?
  5. That is just plain ridiculous. That guy should not have a job, even if it is strictly volunteer umping. LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!
  6. Buddy of mine said it was a true retro. 5000 of the pinstripes, and the rest the white uniform. was told this by one of his co-workers, so it may not be accurate, but the only lead I have. If that is the case, I'd much rather it be a 50/50 deal like a lot of last year's bobbles... Oh well.
  7. oh man, that is GREAT stuff...I actually laughed out loud!
  8. Thanks for the information guys... I'm not a big autograph guy outside of the T-Rats players, and don't make it to the Milwaukee area for signings... I suppose there is always the chance he makes it back to Appleton on another rehab assignment this or next season. *nervous laugh*
  9. I do not believe he was told to take the 2nd or 3rd strike... I think he was taking all the way on the 1st strike, but no one knows if that take came from the dug out or from Braun himself...
  10. That's nice... Way to go Roenicke!!!! He told Lucroy to swing at that pitch!!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I understand your sarcasm, but can we disagree without the insults? Once again, no one knows if he was told to take or given the green light. This thread is provided to discuss the game live, while it is being played. Sometimes people say things in the heat of the moment about players and managers, it is the nature of the business. Everything you say, I say, or anyone says will find people who agree and disagree... carry on.
  11. Actually, how do we know Weeks was given the green light, because he swung? Maybe he was given the take, and swung anyway. maybe Braun was given the green light and chose not to swing, maybe he was told to take... Again, none of us know what really happened, I agree with stache though, if it was up to Braun, he wouldn't have been taking...
  12. It's a silly argument really, I'll just agree to disagree and put this to bed...
  13. None of us have any idea who made what call, but some of you thinking RRR had nothing to do with taking that pitch is no more logical than those of us who think he was told to take... No one knows for sure. Some come to the aid of RRR most of the time, some go against him most of the time, it is all in how you look at it, and no one can claim they are right.
  14. Can't have heroics when you're being told to go for the walk. Again, what would make you believe this to be the case? The 3-0 pitch was inside. We know Braun is having trouble with inside pitches so I would assume he decided to take there and it had nothing to do with RR. It sure looked to me like he had no intention of swinging at that pitch, not much reaction, and I don't believe it had anything to do with being inside...
  15. So he should just sit in the dug out and say nothing, not try to protect his guys at all? It is ok for a manager to show displeasure with the way things are going on occasion...
  16. To those in the know, what are the odds Aramis Ramirez returns an 8x10 to me if I send one to him to be autographed? I have a good photo of him when he played his rehab games with the T-Rats, and I'm wondering if it is worth the risk of postage to send it to him or not... Also, what is the standard protocol when sending photos as far as number sent? Would it be uncool to send 2, or would it be better to stick with one and possibly improve the odds of a return? Thanks!
  17. what crap! those last 2 strikes were very questionable, and not a word from our manager.
  18. http://www.tariqradio.com/uploads/2/4/4/7/24470289/6678972_orig.jpg
  19. Why Kinztler? Why? RRR just can't stop himself, under any circumstance. Isn't THIS the perfect opportunity to play the match-ups and yank him out against Hamilton? *shaking head*
  20. The Reds and Cardinals are the Brewers Kryptonite... No mater what, they stay in games until we screw up just bad enough to let them back in it. I hate the Reds almost as much as the Cards, almost.
  21. me too... just showing a sign of life once in a while would do wonders for my opinion of him.
