True... I am all for SMART aggressive base running, I believe we do a lot of DUMB aggressive base running, which is the problem I have with RRR's style.

In the end, our lack of ability to run the bases has to fall on the manager. This never gets better, it is the same nonsense year after year. I understand the aggressive nature that RRR wants to employ, but the constant base running mistakes that never seem to improve are just killing this team. If bad base running costs us 4 or 5 games a season (that number is low in my opinion, I think there can be a case made that says 10 games per season are lost due to little league style base running) and we finish 3 or 4 games out of the playoffs, eventually, this has to fall on the manager's shoulders. Our manager is inept at so many things (bull pen management, base running, general situational baseball), at some point, the minuses start to outweigh the pluses... RRR has reached that point. It is time to start to explore the Milwaukee Brewers without RRR at the helm. As soon as MA and DM realize this the better...

This may be taboo here, but I am starting to feel a bit of dislike for Gomez and his antics. His act will wear thin if this season continues to go South. Making any comment about Braun in that situation is classless. Gomez made another stupid play on the bases, and refuses to take any responsibility...

Did you see his face when he made that comment and the ones about the bull pen fiasco? He just looked lost. I actually felt a bit sad for the guy during that interview. He was a beaten man, and I think for the first time he actually questioned his stupidity. I also believe that after he made the comments about playing the IF in, even though he was acting confident in his answer, he didn't believe it. He looked bewildered. It was just an awkward interview, and I felt a little sickened by the situation...

You are underestimating Davis and Sugura, and are forgetting that Braun will eventually start hitting, and that we also have Gomez and Ramirez on the roster and we are only 1.5 months into the season, and will likely add a 1B man that can hit mid-season. Our pitching is really good. Sugura?

I don't care how many fancy formulas you throw out there that say RRR only loses us 1 or 2 games a season, or even that he doesn't lose us any games, all the little things add up, and in the end, a guy as stupid as he is can easily keep you from making the playoffs. I have no proof, or formulas or measurable stats, but I think he loses us at least 8 games per season on stupidity alone. (and that is being kind, if I had to make a real guess, I'd put that number at 10+) The guy is a horrible, horrible manager. For whatever reason, he seems to be bullet proof, but the day he gets shown the door, will be one of my top Brewer memories of all time. I'm even going to be happier than the day Yost got canned. UGGGHHHHHH!

Can you be a position prospect if you don't play the position? I don't think either of those players can be considered 1B prospects until they learn the position and play the position.

That pretty much includes 95% of the posters on this board. It wasn't that most hated Lohse, it was more an issue with giving up the 1st round pick it took to get him, and that the pick went to the Cardinals, of all teams...

That is a great photo of Santana... He looks like a little rag doll girl. I just can't stand all the ridiculous hair dos currently in MLB. McCutchen and Weeks are a couple more... Rickie can't even keep his helmet on when he runs with that stupid mop tucked under his skull cap and helmet. Rant over.

This Overbay nonsense has to quit. What is his value to this team, seriously, what does he offer that any of our minor league guys can't? It is getting to be hard work to tune into this team each and every night.

^all true. The Wang project/experiment needs to be over. Holding the team back because someday, he may be a good pitcher is just not the thing to do in this situation. If he costs us 2 or 3 games during the course of a season, and causes strain on the other bullpen guys, it's too much. Make a trade with Pittsburgh or dump him, but this is ridiculous. I'm sure the Pirates are getting a kick out of our situation... They know they have us by the bells, and a division rival to boot! -

Morales will be out there soon, my bet is he is a Brewer as soon as we do not have to surrender the draft pick. I hope he has stayed in playing shape. It would suck if we signed him, then he needed a 3 week stay in the minors before joining the big squad.
