  1. The longer we have to go with Yuni and Gonzalez in starting roles, and hitting 4th and 6th, the harder it is going to be to win a single game. It is going to take a stellar performance from our pitching staff to record wins as long as those two are starting. This is horrible to watch.
  2. The decision to enter this MLB season with zero first basemen on this roster is stupid, 100% asinine. I simply can not believe that a MLB baseball team can think it is going to work out to enter a brand new season with not one single 1B on the roster. Would any other team in MLB do what we have done? Has any other team ever done this previously? It is beyond asinine, I just can't think of another word to describe it. It is asinine infinity... How many games are we going to have to see this insanity? Will we go another 2-3-4-7 games with Ynui at 1B and Gonzalez at 3rd? This just kills me, and completely taints the excitement I felt for the beginning of the season. I am seriously wondering if Doug Melvin has worn out his welcome with the Milwaukee Brewers. I can't stand the idiocy any longer. This is exactly why it bothered me so much to see Yuni signed. The day we signed him, we were one injury from him becoming a full time player, and it looks like that has already happened 4 games into the season. We need a 1B to stabilize the infield. This is ridiculous.
  3. You have got to be kidding me... and the joke gets even funnier with Gonzalez batting clean-up tonight.
  4. Add the fact that we have no first basemen, and no first round pick next year either. I'd like to go into a rant about our manager, but everyone here knows how I feel about him, so I will let others with thoughts like mine handle that. I had optimistic hope that we could be around the .500 mark this season, but with so much working against us, I am becoming a non-believer. Not one 1B on our roster to open the season is just mind-blowingly stupid. Melvin is a knob.
  5. Our 1B situation is baffling. A MLB team, beginning the season without a single 1B on the roster is just so insanely stupid, it is hard to fathom.
  6. ^this Way too early to feel this bad about the team, but man, this really sucks.
  7. Actually, there is going to be at least 2 others (Scott and Kuenn) that will have 2 versions, but they will do half white uni and half powder blue. So roughly 20,000 of each. Maybe more than those 2, but he heard those 2 for sure. This is not official, but I did get the information from a reliable source.
  8. yes, I got your email, didn't have time to do anything with it... sorry about that.
  9. Gonzalez hits 6th. No one else, only Gonzalez. Once it is in RR's head, it is written in stone.
  10. Ryan Braun has been scratched from Friday's lineup against the Diamondbacks due to neck spasms. Khris Davis will take his place in the Brewers' starting lineup. The injury does not sound like it's the type of thing that would require an extended absence from the lineup, but it's certainly something to monitor over the weekend. 11. What are you looking for in trade? I'm interested!
  12. Not when you start adding in the minor league bobbles... Not as many minor leaguers and off shoots this year as last though....at least, that we know about anyway. Spring Training Mini Braun T-Rats Erickson, Lucroy, mystery, and fan's choice Nashville Sounds Dickey and paintable Ozzie Hunstville Stars Coles and Undetermined bobble
  13. Ok, I've come across a few that I needed, but still need the following: 1993 1994 1995 1999 PM me if you have any from my list you'd like to get rid of. Thanks!
  14. I would agree with you on the Hart, and I would think that the Gomez with the gold jersey will not have an alternate either, but they did Aramis in the gold jersey last year as the alternate, so anything is possible. Doubt they will do 2 of Gorman in the Pilots uniform. It would make complete sense to do Kuenn, Oglivie, Aaron, Braun and Scott though, and if they do the 50/50 plan, it makes it a lot easier on the collectors that is for sure.
  15. No idea on the Bears... I agree on the fewer bobbles to collect the better... It is becoming overkill, and that is going to turn off a lot of collectors. Honestly, I'm on the fence right now if every season will be anything like this one...
  16. The Braun could also fall into the pinstripes possibility... I suppose, if they really wanted to, they could do all of them with an alternate (except the polish), and right now, after finding out what I found out today, it won't surprise me in the least. Aoki - white uni and pinstripes Scott - white uni and powder blue Hart - White uni and away uni Braun - white uni and pinstripes Gomez - white uni and gold jersey Aaron - white uni and powder blue Kuenn - white uni and powder blue Gorman - white pilots and away pilots Ollivie - white uni and powder blue That would be 18, plus the polish and stitch, and we are sitting at 20, plus the thumbs up bernie. UUUGGGHHHHHHHH!
  17. Nope, I don't know the answer to that question, but I think there are going to be 5000 retros due to the fact they haven't said differently. Why is this stuff so secret this year?
  18. Ok, I have heard from a reliable source that there are going to be 2 dates that are 50% powder Blue and 50% white uniforms. Which bobbles do you ask? George Scott and Harvey Kuenn. If this is true, I'd be surprised if Oglivie wasn't also a 50/50 deal. To be honest, I don't mind the 50/50 concept nearly as much as the 40,000/5,000 concept. They will be easier to come by, but there will still be people trying to rip others off on ebay and the like saying the powder blue retros are more valuable. (Kind of like the 3 Younts from 2006, they were done in thirds. 1/3 Rookie uni, 1/3 powder blue, and 1/3 coach uni, but people claim the powder blue is the rarest.......) Only problem with this format is the space to display them. If they have 10 bobbles, and 4 of them have an alternate, that is 14 new bobbles to find the display space for, and that is not counting the stitch n pitch bobble, so a total of 15 new ones this year alone...
  19. I'd be interested... Would do daily or whatever format you choose. Sounds like fun. PM sent
  20. Not sure if this is directed at a comment by anyone in particular. However, when I stated that she must have a pretty understanding husband, it really wasn't based on her being a woman. If I came home one day, kids or no kids, and told my wife that I purchased a single seat 40 game plan for the Brewers my wife probably would not be very happy about that and would wonder if I was going through some sort of personal crisis. Not to mention, a good parent wouldn't do that to begin with. Not passing judgement on those who don't spend time with their kids, but that time with them is not time you can ever get back.
  21. I'd shorten that leash even more to avoid what we had last year. I'd give him one more shot, if he fails, he needs to be removed. The psychological toll the bullpen took on the entire team last year was immeasurable in my opinion. We can't just continue to hang these guys out there to fail. When a reasonable amount of time is given, and failure remains, make a change. I don't think this team can endure what we had last year, and I see no valid reason for them to have to do so.
