  1. That must be me, and giving the thumbs down to treego14 for his ridiculous rhymes. I'm doing it more in fun than to actually harass the guy. I'm quite sure he knows I mean no harm. If this is causing you this much stress, and not him, I will cease and desist. Sheesh.
  2. I would welcome that! Hell, I hope he makes me eat my words and goes yard today!
  3. So they couldn't make a move to get him there in time for today's game, or the SD series at the very least? So now, instead, we get to watch Wiemer flail around and look hopeless against the one guy (Burnes) I want to beat almost as much as Counsell? *sigh*
  4. I completely disagree with bringing Wiemer up, even if for a short time. Seems Brewer Hicklen would have been the wiser move. Wiemer just isn't doing anything that says he should get another shot so soon after attempting to change his swing. Let him figure things out before moving him up.
  5. Which means we have him until 2027, as we will probably be looking to trade him before his last contracted season, assuming he is still hitting. So we basically have him another 4 years.
  6. Just started binge watching the complete series of TAXI! So good, just good writing...
  7. Man, I really don't want Wiemer up again until he has some things figured out...
  8. Not sure why you are allowed to call people names, but you have to realize that other people are allowed to have different opinions than yours, right?
  9. Maybe so, but I hope he truly is innocent.
  10. Have you?
  11. BOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  12. I no longer have blind faith in our government. I'm sure there is a lot more to this story than we will ever know, and to think there isn't some angle for the government to make sure he is not found guilty of anything might be a bit naïve. Either that, or Ohtani truly is an absolute idiot for giving full access to millions upon millions of dollars to his interpreter. That to me is less believeable.
  13. I'm sure this "investigation" had a lot of top MLB people, lawyers, etc, doing their best to make sure this doesn't fall negatively on Ohtani in any way. I doubt we'll ever know the real story, but imo, this has been spun and fixed up to the best of their ability. From the get go, I think the outcome was predetermined, it was just a matter of how they were going to spin it and reach that outcome. No way MLB was going to take a hit like this, so it has been fixed up and sold to the public. I wonder what the interpreter got out of this financially and what kind of reduced sentence he was guaranteed for helping the outcome? I am not saying that my opinion is fact, but this entire thing is fishy.
  14. Any concerns about O'Rae's size? He and Lara both are tiny by major league standards. (Both listed at 5'9" but if they are 5'8" I wouldn't be surprised) Robert Moore was also really small and we shipped him out... I realize there is a guy named Altuve (5'6") who is small and awesome, but that isn't typical when it comes to small guys panning out...
  15. Trading Wilken, who appears to finally be a legit 3B prospect, isn't going to happen. This kid will be playing 3B for the Brewers by the all star break, not on the trading block... Sheesh.
  16. Went and saw Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire yesterday. Great movie theater flick! Entertaining the entire way through. Felt the gay undertones between Phoebe and the ghost were completely unnecessary, but that is todays Hollywood. Well worth seeing if anyone is on the fence and saw the last one...
  17. Why not give Carlos Hernandez a shot at a start? Is it a service time issue?
  18. True, but that was just a terrible time to learn that lesson.
  19. As fans, most of us knew this from the get go. This isn't any kind of shocking news. They failed to get any serious inning eating type arms in the off season, and it sure looks like the bullpen is going to pay the price.
  20. It isn't about in comparison to other stadiums, it's about the bottom line. Just because it costs a family of four $500 (made up number) to go to a Yankees game, and $250 to go to a Brewers game, that doesn't make it "value" it just makes it cheaper than the Yankees. Paint it any way you want, the bottom line is that the price to go see a game live is getting out of hand, and a lot of people are going to less games than they used to... I am not the only one. Lower the ticket prices, more people will fill the stadium giving the Brewers more chances to sell parking and their overpriced stadium food and make more money in the long run. High ticket prices means fewer come to games, which means they sell less overpriced parking and stadium food.
  21. What are the chances that none of Wiemer, Mitchell or Frelick will ever amount to anything more than average MLB players? Heck, all 3 could end up being below average. I know, they are young, still learning, injured, etc, but damn...
  22. Brewers must think they are still in this one...
