  1. Dallas Keuchel? Isn't that kind of what he did for us, yet we cut him loose, and we got him for $1. I'm not saying we should have kept Keuchel, but what does Montas give us that Dallas didn't? Meh, both crappy pitchers, so what does it really matter, other than we gave up $1 to get one, and Wiemer plus Junis to get the other.
  2. What does that matter? So random.
  3. High risk, high reward type of guy. Personally, the risk is too.................risky to be giving up our top prospects. I know our pitching lab could come into play with a guy like this, but I'd rather let other teams take the risk, not us.
  4. I'm so done with superhero movies. Couldn't keep up, the ones I did see were declining in quality, so I gave up. Never saw an X-Men movie, but have seen the Deadpool movies, but since I know nothing about the X-Men, I won't be seeing this one.
  5. nah... He offers nothing that we don't already have. He's just a guy, and not a very good guy.
  6. Anyone ever watched Cougartown? I remember watching it with my wife when it was actually on tv. Thought it was ok. Rewatching now and find it to be pretty hilarious. Happy I started the rewatch as it provides with true laugh out loud moments in every episode.
  7. Getting Frankie freaking Montas for Wiemer means he had no value, none, zip, zero, zilch. Pretty sure they dumped Junis so they didn't have to pay him, making what we have to pay Montas a little less.
  8. The graphic they showed before the game of all the guys the Braves have on the IL is amazing. Big time guys out for the year, yet, they are still in the hunt.
  9. Chourio is a thing of beauty! So happy we locked him up when we did.
  10. yeah, he's bottoming... gross trade. Why trade Junis when we obviously need long middle relievers. Montas is just a guy. If Joey figures it out, we get to have him mash on us the next half decade. If he doesn't fugure it out, he'll still mash on us, even if he sucks against everyone else.
  11. See what I mean? Lots of game left after the 4th inning...
  12. Ok, then I am out on Flaherty... He alone without another SP of his caliber plus a really solid bat or two just isn't going to be enough to improve our chances for a DEEP playoff run. I'd hold and hope our guys coming off the IL are enough to get us to the playoffs.
  13. No frickin' way do I give up Wilken + for a 2 month rental. UGH!
  14. Pratt to the T-Rats, exactly what I've been waiting for. I guess I'll be at the yard most of this week after all. lol
  15. Which in all actuality, means nothing. If he thinks the Rangers are going nowhere, you really think he says no to a trade that puts him on a contender? (not just the Brewers, but any team...)
  16. Yeah, I'm all for removing that injury threat and getting a starting pitcher for him.
  17. Is Flaherty only a rental? Is he under contract for 2025?
  18. Good points, and I have no answer.
  19. Yeah, with his track record, that is a dangerous game to play.
  20. According to another source, so are the Yankees. In order to land him, we are going to have to severely overpay, and that scares me. I soooo didn't want to trade Wilken or Boeve, but it looks to me like one or the other is going if we want Flaherty or any other pitcher that will help us out.
  21. The over use of the bullpen isn't about individual players use, it's about the whole group as a unit. If what another poster said above is true, that the Brewers have the 2nd most relief innings and THE least innings pitched by starters in MLB, then yes, the bullpen has been over used to the detriment of the team. Another example of people cherry picking stats to benefit their point. No offense LouisEly, that isn't why I made this post.
