  1. This year's mojo is wearing thin...
  2. I thought about it, but I have already said I wouldn't use it any longer... I'm a man of my word, even if it is just to placate someone with a weird axe to grind. Would have been funny though... 😀
  3. I don't believe I acted like a jerk, in fact, I think the guy with the issue here is acting a lot more like a jerk than anyone else. You simply didn't like my explanation, yet you continue to hammer it home. Who made excuses? I told you exactly why I was using thumbs down, and that wasn't good enough for you. You wanted the reason to be because I was just being a dick, and bullying the guy. Neither was the case, so you continue beating your drum. Who did I blame? There is no one to put blame on. Who did I attack? You seem to be the one in attack mode, and why is that? Because you don't like thumbs down, and you don't like my reasoning. If anyone is bullying here, it is you, but it doesn't bother me to be honest. This is a message board, nothing you can say to me matters in the least. In the end, you don't like the thumbs down reaction, you have climbed way up high on your soapbox, and no one cares. I have told you I'd stop using it to preserve your delicate feelings, nothing more that I can do. I'll leave you with the last word, I have a game to watch. 👍
  4. Maybe, if William doesn't swing at that 3-0, the score would now be 4-2...
  5. Went to see Civil War today. I really liked it, but it wasn't what I expected at all... Was super happy that today's politics didn't play a role. They left the reason for the war itself pretty vague. No right vs the left, no wokeness vs conservatism, nothing. It was refreshing, and I wondered how they would address today's climate. Basically, they didn't. I won't post anything else in case people still plan to see it.
  6. DVD DUMPAGE: Bleacher Bums - Based on a play, and you can really tell by watching the movie. Bought this on a whim many years ago, and after watching it back then, I didn't care for it, but thought I'd give it another shot someday. Yesterday was that day, and I didn't like it any better. It's about a bunch of people hanging out in the bleachers of a fictional MLB team which is obviously based on the Cubs. The entire movie takes place during one game. Mostly a gambling theme, interpersonal situations, and even a rain delay. lol Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it.
  7. Ok, well, since you have dubbed yourself as the overlord of thumbs down usage, I will bow to you and leave treego14 alone. I've not seen anyone else complain so much about so little. Whatever. I will consider your offense next time I am considering using the dreaded thumbs down reaction. I might even shoot you a message asking for your approval before doing so. Does that solve your problem? I hope no one else decides to use it, those kind of shenanigans are just unacceptable.
  8. I don't think he'll be #14 for long! Saw him play 3 times so far, and he looks like a monster! The future looks bright!
  9. He's been very bad all season... Wondering if the Astros are second guessing their decision to pay him like a king?
  10. I have a history with using the thumbs down? C'mon man... Are you saying, that outside of my use with treego14, that I have a longer history of using the feature more-so than others? Dude...
  11. That must be me, and giving the thumbs down to treego14 for his ridiculous rhymes. I'm doing it more in fun than to actually harass the guy. I'm quite sure he knows I mean no harm. If this is causing you this much stress, and not him, I will cease and desist. Sheesh.
  12. I would welcome that! Hell, I hope he makes me eat my words and goes yard today!
  13. So they couldn't make a move to get him there in time for today's game, or the SD series at the very least? So now, instead, we get to watch Wiemer flail around and look hopeless against the one guy (Burnes) I want to beat almost as much as Counsell? *sigh*
  14. I completely disagree with bringing Wiemer up, even if for a short time. Seems Brewer Hicklen would have been the wiser move. Wiemer just isn't doing anything that says he should get another shot so soon after attempting to change his swing. Let him figure things out before moving him up.
  15. Which means we have him until 2027, as we will probably be looking to trade him before his last contracted season, assuming he is still hitting. So we basically have him another 4 years.
  16. Just started binge watching the complete series of TAXI! So good, just good writing...
  17. Man, I really don't want Wiemer up again until he has some things figured out...
  18. Not sure why you are allowed to call people names, but you have to realize that other people are allowed to have different opinions than yours, right?
  19. Maybe so, but I hope he truly is innocent.
  20. Have you?
  21. BOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOO! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  22. I no longer have blind faith in our government. I'm sure there is a lot more to this story than we will ever know, and to think there isn't some angle for the government to make sure he is not found guilty of anything might be a bit naïve. Either that, or Ohtani truly is an absolute idiot for giving full access to millions upon millions of dollars to his interpreter. That to me is less believeable.
  23. I'm sure this "investigation" had a lot of top MLB people, lawyers, etc, doing their best to make sure this doesn't fall negatively on Ohtani in any way. I doubt we'll ever know the real story, but imo, this has been spun and fixed up to the best of their ability. From the get go, I think the outcome was predetermined, it was just a matter of how they were going to spin it and reach that outcome. No way MLB was going to take a hit like this, so it has been fixed up and sold to the public. I wonder what the interpreter got out of this financially and what kind of reduced sentence he was guaranteed for helping the outcome? I am not saying that my opinion is fact, but this entire thing is fishy.
  24. Any concerns about O'Rae's size? He and Lara both are tiny by major league standards. (Both listed at 5'9" but if they are 5'8" I wouldn't be surprised) Robert Moore was also really small and we shipped him out... I realize there is a guy named Altuve (5'6") who is small and awesome, but that isn't typical when it comes to small guys panning out...
