  1. you don't have to throw him a parade for making the right moves any manager would make, but its a two way street then and you shouldn't berate him for making a bad move that all managers also make. that's what gets me riled up about the anti yost crowd. you are overly critical of all poor moves, but if a good move is made he should be expected to make that move. that's just not how the world works.
  2. Having a poor on base average is only a small part of what Braun has done for the team. He has a great slugging percentage and is near the top of the league in home runs and RBI's. Don't get too hung up on OBP, myself and many others would gladly take Braun over Dunn and others in a secong, bad OBP or not.
  3. yeah stevo Braun sure does deserve it over a number of other outfielders. not sure why you think he doesn't Dunn is not having a great year, holliday has been hurt, and bay is at least having a comparable year to Braun
  4. is this a serious post? why would we trade anything for Joe Nelson. he has not had much success in the majors and is getting old to boot. maybe a box of balls i'd trade for him, but not a top 50 prospect.
  5. he had under 90 pitches and the score was three to zero and he's the ace of the darn staff. it was not ridiculous to leave him in so stop with that all ready. power hitting gary bennett and the pitcher were due up. don't make this in to a ned yost kept him in too long thing because its not even close! you yost bashers are getting pretty insane with how you question him now.
  6. filed through turbo tax and according to the schedule should have got mine on May 9. still haven't got it, the government is full of tools

  8. I've supported Yost for a long time, but its got to stop. And its not because of the in game decisions, because all managers can be questioned about those. It is the apparent lack of care and lifelessness that the team is showing. Besides Braun and his outburst the other day, does anyone on this team give a crap? Its so frustrating to watch the constant pop ups and weak grounders when men are on base. Its every game and you can predict its going to happen. This has to be not only on Ned but all the coaches and something needs to be done. His lack of care after games about whats going on is appalling. His stance with the media is very poor. The whole it'll turn around sooner or later, or they were hitting it hard but just right at someone is a tired excuse. For once show some fire. Sure if they've had bad luck for a week i can see it, but these clowns have been pitching and hitting like crap for a month and a half. This is no longer a small sample size, so that argument cannot be used. One fifth of the season is gone! I've held out for too long as I normally believe that firing a coach is just knee jerk reaction, but sign me up to the bandwagon and my free door prize for signing up to the fire NED now before its too late.
  9. It's a legitimate question. If the tear was made worse by keeping him out there, especially by bring him back out for the next inning, heads should roll if not Ned's. Its not a legitamate question at all everything with him always comes back to being ned's fault and its ridiculous. If the trainers and yovanni himself felt he could continue that is the most important thing. Ned has to go by what they say. if they felt he couldn't continue are you naive enough to believe he decided to keep him in anyway?
  10. its always gotta come back to ned doesn't it FTJ.... GIVE IT UP! In all seriousness though this really stinks and the other pitchers are going to have to step up. You got to feel bad for him, he was pitching so well and seems to be a decent guy to boot.
  11. That was my thinking too. I obviously would take any job that I could, I would just have to fake cheer for the Cubs and cheer for the Brewers in my mind only. It would be difficult to deal with their fans, but i'm sure the same could be said for some of our fans as well
  12. I've just started my second semester of graduate school for my masters in sports management. Ideally I would like to get into baseball, be it at the major league or minor league level. Here's my hypothetical question for you: Say The Chicago Cubs contacted you for employment with them. As a Brewer fan could you work for them? If you could work for them, would you have to like the team and root for them?
  13. you'd think we were 4-15 the way fans are going crazy about things going wrong. man we're not playing the way we're capable and the team is still 3 over 500. Its going to be a long year at this rate
  14. My silver lining is that I'm still going strong on my new years resolution to just watch every game and enjoy it. Not second guessing every decision and ignoring all the people who want to talk about every bad decision being made is so enjoyable.
  15. Count me in for being absolutely disgusted as well if Villanueva is not on the team when the season starts. even a person who has no clue about the game of baseball can see he is easily one of our 5 best starters. isn't that the point of the game? to have your best players out there who give you the best chance to win day in and day out. to even contemplate sending him to the minors is absurd. what more does the guy need to do?
  16. Villanueva has done nothing but perform since he's been with us. I think its ridiculous to think he could start the year at AAA. He's easily one of our 5 best starters and definitely one of the better relievers if they choose to put him in that role. What a joke this is
  17. i'll be very surprised if Hart doesn't play all 25 games of Cameron's suspension in center. He did well there in limited action last year. I'm guessing Gross will play most of the time in right with Dillon playing also. I can't envision a scenario where Kapler is on the tem.
  18. just bought the new Dr. Dog cd and from what i've heard so far its great.
  19. mine gets like that every once in awhile and i was told its probably tendinitis. I was told too do certain stretches and it cleared up.
  20. never tried and never will drink coffee as well. people at work look at me like i'm a freak. just never saw the need, not a big caffeine guy either, unless its in a captain and coke.
  21. our bullpen was not good most of the year and that is not Ned's fault. if anyone's fault it is Doug Melvins for not getting better relievers. look at any team that is left in the playoffs and most seem to have a fair number of either younger or home grown relievers on their teams, not retreads that are journeymen at best, and that is the problem. what was he supposed to do when 2 of the supposed better relievers on the team are head cases. wise being one, I mean come on he hit a guy in the head which would be awful, but to have it affect the rest of your year? and turnbow, no need to explain that one. i just can't understand why the brewers have to form their bullpen around retreads and journeymen every year. we have awesome prospects everywhere but there and we need to do something about it quick or it will continue to be our downfall, not Ned
  22. I know in the past there has been a list of the Brewers walk up songs on the site, but I couldn't find it. Is there any way we can start one up again? Its the girlfriends birthday soon and I know she wants a cd with all the walk up music on it, so I was going to make one. Any help would be cool.
  23. wow Tbadder, worst year in franchise history. that has got to be a joke right? this has been one of the best and most exciting years of baseball in wisconsin in a long time and its been extremely fun to be a part of. to be at a bar last saturday when hart hit that homer to take the lead was great. to hear and see people excited about a team that has been so bad for so long, i'll remember for a long time. If you can't be happy about this season and see it as a stepping stone for the franchise, I feel sorry for you, you must not be a very happy person.
