I have to agree with someone else's scouting report on Pena that he has good stuff but has no idea where it's going when it leaves his hand. A couple of times he was pumping it right by people and then the ball would miss the plate by a mile. Hopefully our staff can get him figured out next year in ST.

Well to start he's going to be playing 3B because Wilson Betemit is garbage. It will be interesting, however, to see how long the O's hold onto Hardy if Machado does well as I doubt they are going to move Machado to third semi-permanently.

One thing that just dawned on me is the fact that we'll be playing interleague series all season long starting next year. It will be crucial to have someone that can shift over and play DH every once and a while. Definitely would prefer to have someone like Gamel manning that role than a Ishikawa or Conrad type. -

Just thinking it would be good to update the monthly versions and keep them in one place. EDIT: It is also interesting to note how Mike Fiers averaged ~17 for last month's P50 and is now arguably the best pitcher in the Big Leage rotation. What a jump for Teh Fiers. -

That sounds about right. I mean, outside of Ax there really isn't anyone who I'd call a lock, or even suggest bringing back for ST, in the current bullpen. -
I believe that is exactly what happened. Instead of trading a player in return they just took the salary of Izturis.
