  1. That describes me exactly. I was deathly afraid of tornadoes as a child, I would hide in the basement if there was so much as a watch. Although never formally, I studied the weather and such gowning up. It pretty much got rid of all my fears by understanding them and because of the insane odds against getting killed by a tornado, let alone even seeing one in your lifetime. (Ted Fujita didn't even see one in person till he was 62) I am 100% all for cut ins and alarms for tornado warnings, but pretty much nothing else. Especially with all the extra bandwidth with digital broadcasting there is no reason to clutter up network programming with non-tornado realted weather breaks. Run a crawl to tune into channel 4-02 or WMLW or whatever, but my policy is no tornado = no cut in.
  2. Ah, I know that beard guy, he can be in the "scoreboard HOF" Working for the scoreboard crew once in a while I picked up on some of their favorites, the guy with the beard, freeway when they could find him, an old lady who they always showed at the end of "God Bless America" who would be singing with her arm out, the maniac, a few others.
  3. The Maniac (at least in 07 and 08) sat in the club level on Sunday home games, but I saw him else where on non-Sunday games. I vote for him for sure. Also, need to add that I see him frequently walk to games from his home on 94th and Bluemound. Freeway is definitely more of a Buck HOFer in my mind (not to say he shouldn't be included in this) The "Hammer Head" bucket guy (i think?) Had the mechanical bat that pounded on his bucket head during buck head games. There is a guy who wears a shiny blue cape and yellow mask, i see him in the bleachers from time to time. My personal HOF includes "shirtless Jenkins kid" who wore a Jenkins shirts with the sleeves cut way way off (think arm holes from the shoulder to almost the waist.) I think towards the end of the season it might have just sat over him like a sandwhich board. This was in 08, post Jenkins year. Saw him a few times in the left field bleachers.
  4. You mean it's almost time for weather crawls, cut-ins, annoying graphics, and way over blown coverage and panic from the local media? Remember when a thunderstorm was just a thunderstorm?
  5. I think Star Wars fills the who special effect slot and you don't need a Jurassic Park on the list Agree 100% that Toy Story should be on there. These films are the most influential to what though? Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Indiana Jones, Matrix, and many others have influenced pop culture a lot more than most of these (except Star Wars)
  6. $1 hot dogs are usually just for one game, or one series over the summer Never heard of the hot dog, peanut, soda combo
  7. When I can, but not as a rule Coke/Pepsi with a meal Mountain Dew on its own A few specific combos I love: Pepsi with big salty oily rippled chips and french onion dip Coke with pretzel rods Milk with Lasagna/Spaghetti/Ravioli I almost never have beer with a meal, I will only drink it on it's own
  8. 1180 is the stadium radio frequency, and is actually audible For sure there is a 1610, there is signage for it just north on 94 on 45 Northbound, and another one near the Falls, also on 45 Northbound. They both have the "tune in when flashing" lights on them
  9. I have never been anywhere in the city where AM1610 (the 'tune here when flashing' radio station) has come in as anything recognizable It's just garbled unpleasant static and a terrible computerized voice Is there a law that says it has to exist? Does the DOT or city think it's helping people?
  10. For those interested, Happy has given the go-ahead and the "glove + ball = http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif" shirt will be released to the public in a slightly modified form
  11. I don't know what made me think of this today, but, somewhere between 1989 and 1992 (i think) Super 18 or Channel 24 had a contest It was 2 or 3 Brewers dressed as ZZ top, and you had to guess what 2 or 3 Brewers they were to win a prize Who were they?
  12. I really dont know about DSL, I will assume not though. Thanks for the input, I can use this to start going in the right direction.
  13. Jeezum Thats something you can write in at the bottom of the tailgate shirt, haha. You can make good money on opening day charging people $1 to use your bucket, or what not. I would never charge, but I never have a bucket to offer.
  14. I would say Monday of next week at the latest, if you want to PM me what you will be ordering, I will make sure it will be in stock and ready to go,
  15. Interesting, I know there is a strong signal on my AT&T phone out there I know I don't want to pay $60 for Satellite either I really have no idea how far 250GB would get me? It would be the occasional large file transfer, other than that maybe just email and general surfing
  16. Does anyone have any experience in the matter? This location in question does not and will not get cable anytime soon, what does that leave for internet?
  17. I saw something at Sam's Club that might be what you want, I didn't look that close since I am not in the market for one From what I remember it looked to disassemble, but not collapse
  18. zachlaka- There may be people roaming around, but I will for sure be at Kelly's bleachers on Opening day in their tent, near the street side of it. Oh yes, the hill next to the bluemound lot is correct, some genius fashioned a rope there last year to help you climb, bless that person
  19. Yes, in some form Maybe not with the ringers though. I will check and PM you later.
  20. The ringer has just the sleeve ends and collar in the other color. Like the tailgate shirt from above.
  21. You will have it opening day, I promise you that Also, will do a group discount on the tailgate shirt, we could even personalize the front to your specific tailgate if you want
  22. The whole 1999 MLB wide "future" jerseys started from a pretty cool Seattle promotion: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas/080718 Pretty much all the 99 "future" jerseys were horrendous: http://www.angelfire.com/blues/new_yorker/TATC.html
  23. It's out biggest one day shirt release ever! There are seven new shirts, just in time for opening day. Based on being here for a while, I know some of you won't like some of the shirts, but will love others. There should be something for everyone though. Comments are welcome, and if you have pics wearing any of our shirts, we would really like them for the website. Thanks. (New shirts for Fielder, Macha, and more are in the works) www.MilwaukeeShirtGuys.com http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bMilwaukeeSky.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bHeat.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bMcClung.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bDidntHappen.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bMex.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bSkull.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bTailgate.jpg http://www.insomniacink.com/Shirt%20Pictures/bTailgateBack.jpg The tailgate shirt concept is that you fill it out with a marker as you finish each "task"
