  1. Anybody who is watching. Is benny's curve biting today?
  2. OOPS! Another question. Are the Power in a league that's generally known for hitting, pitching, or a balance? Thanks.
  3. First off thanks for the info guys. Another question is, is Lafave's age against him in low A ball? Are there really any true prospects who are 23 and playing at this level?
  4. I'm not a fan of OPS. It's too unweidly for my small mind, and besides I always immediately want to know the break down, so I can understand what kind of hitter I'm looking at. So I prefer to look at SLG and OBP separately, favoring OBP a little more.
  5. Any reason to get excited about players in low A ball. The Brew Crew have three outfielders: Ford, Brantley, and Lefave, age 22, 20, and 23. All are hitting over .300, all have OBP greater than .385, with OPS above .814. Is it too early to project, to put them on a time line (ie.High A ball by July, AA next year, etc)? (more specific subject -TC)
  6. Can you imagine what they'd give us for Cordero?
  7. It must be kind of unusual. They mentioned it on FSN the other night. It might be an anomaly. I'd love to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately I'm no Stathead. I really admire those guys; all these equations make my noggin fairly spin off its neck.
  8. JJ kinda scares me. I mean, how much over and above his minor league projections is he playing currently? How many players significantly improve on their projects once they reach the majors? And then there's always the question. How many times does a player come back from a major injury and just spank his previous production? I think I'm going to dodge bullets on this one, and I hope like heck I'm wrong, but I think 15 to 25 home runs is gonna be right on the mark, if and only if he doesn't get himself on the DL again. Gulp. Jinx.
  9. Cabrera? In a heartbeat! We'd have a powerhouse line up that's absolutely proven. Sure Braun might be good, but we've got no proof. Turnbow could go in the tank again. Gross? Heck, don't even know what to say about that. They'd never do that.
  10. I wouldn't take Milledge if he was cut. He is a pariah and just a plain nut case. Did you see that guy high fiving it around the stadium on his home run earlier this year. I have a relative who is pretty high ranking (really I do, not blowing smoke) on an American League ballclub and he intimated that everyone is absolutely afraid of this guy. He breaks the back of managers and general managers alike. Pitching depth is way too important to trade for head cases with potential.
  11. I'd trade Mench for an above average lefty bullpener who could eat innings as well. But I think we'd have to thrown in even more.
  12. I'd love it, but no way they're trading this guy--too young. I 'd give them Estrada and try to avoid the bullets coming at my head.
