  1. Good point
  2. No, I totally agree. I was just saying - the fewer games with our pitching staff the better right now maybe
  3. Wright just hit a 2 run HR to make it 8-4 Cubs. Anyone else surprised that Lou left Marquis out there for 109 pitches?
  4. What a bum This should maybe tell us something about how Lou is going to play it this week. He just sent Marquis out for the 7th with a pitch count of 98 going into the inning
  5. This is obviously a Brewers website so I wont get into it. But Cromartie climbed up Coles back. Coles tipped the ball first.
  6. I just want that Cub game to get over so I can see us only 1 GB in the wild card standings. I was just goofing around with you. I am just a Brett Favre fan. Always have been, always will be. I just want him to do well. Don't really care about the Jets
  7. Haha! Maybe they can improve to 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 Hochuli! Attaboy Barrett!
  8. All in all tonight is turning out to be a lot better night than I expected so far. The Cubs are helping us out and I get to watch ol' #4 in HD on ESPN
  9. In my mind tonight's game is so big. I'm guessing that it will be a huge boost to the player's psyche tomorrow being 1 game back and playing a team that they are 11-1 against this year as opposed to being 2 back (assuming the Cubs hang on and win tonight)
  10. I think fans of just about any other MLB team this year could say that about their team. As hard as it is to say, the Cubs are just good. Point blank period.
  11. WOW! Didnt expect that one! Think some of the Brewer players got together to watch the game and are goin ya-ya right now?!
  12. Its early. I didn't expect much from the Cubs 1st time through. They had never seen this kid before
  13. 1 zip Cubs
  14. To be fair Mota has been real good for quite some time now and Gagne has actually been solid as of late too. Seems like ever since Gagne got boo'd at MP before he even threw a pitch (which was bush league) he has been pretty darn good
  15. McClung is awful I don't agree with that at all. He was dominant in the 2 innings he pitched against the Cubs last week in extra innings and he kept us in the game yesterday eventhough he was starting after having 2 days of rest. I think he has been pretty solid for the most part this year. When he throws his curve for strikes he can be tough. At the very least, he is better than awful
  16. Well, looking at the pitching matchup tonight doesn't exactly enthuse me. Marquis is quite average and Niese had a great start his last time out, albeit against the Braves. But, Marquis has been very good on the road this year (6-3, 3.03 ERA) and Niese is a rookie LHP and the Cubs usually feast on lefties. Hopefully that all adds up to a Cubs win tonight (did I really just say that??)
  17. Is it really that big of a deal? They guy made a prediction in hopes the Brewers would get hot and storm into the playoffs. The first part didn't pan out. Whoopty-do. The second part there is still some hope for.
  18. Yep. And I am certain he will stick to his word. I'm just not going to fault him for having some faith in the team he loves. Nothin wrong with a little hope.
  19. He is a man of his word. Do you see him posting on here asking to come back?
  20. I highly, highly doubt Sheets will pitch on wednesday. Maybe saturday, if at all...
  21. I totally agree about the Mets needing to lose tonight to shave the lead to 1. 1 back with 6 to go sounds sooo much more doable than 2 back with 6 to go
  22. Seconded. But I say he gets to stay either way. I'm not gonna hold it against BCU for having some cojones
  23. Pretty sure the Cubs would much rather play the Dodgers than us or the Mets
