    Once again - I agree about pitchers needing to bare down and work through a jam, but to me the decding factor here was that its a one run game that we really need and we are talking about one out gained when everyone could see that Manny was tired

    I agree that you would hope the starter can go at least 5, but lets be honest, it just doesn't always work out that way. I would hope Neds main concern is winning the game - not managing to get Manny the win or to get him through the "mandatory" 5 innings when he was clearly tired. Does one extra out from the bullpen make or break it as a bullpen saving start?

    This is just my personal opinion, but I just don't think Robin was completely committed to the job. His heart just didn't seem to be totally in it IMO

    No kidding. It was a great move by Yost to keep Parra in for the lefty and get out of the inning. The bullpen is overworked as it is. I am curious if you would still be saying this if that rocket that Ludwick hit wouldn't have been right at someone. I understand the reasoning in a way, but I think it was quite obvious that Manny was gassed

    It seems like every time one of our pitchers leaves a ball up and over the middle it gets pounded, but when our hitters get a pitch like that they pop it up or foul it off
