  1. Nice AB by Parra there. Rest of offense - take notes
  2. Count me in on the ned getting tossed for disputing balls and strikes and at least TRYING to light a fire under the teams collective butt. It might be the only thing he is good for anymore
  3. I just got caught up on the IGT and all I can say is wow, mikerollins, wow. Nice throw by Hart there
  4. Eventhough we didn't get any runs there, I think it was a good start and a sign of good things to come today.
  5. That is completely and utterly false. I'd like you to find ONE person on this site that was calling for Turnbow to come in for the ninth. Exactly. Ned has shown ZERO confidence in Turnbow this year and then he brings him in to a tie game in the 9th when we have 14 pitchers on the roster...RIIIIDICULOUS
  6. Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall CF Gabe Gross RHP Carlos Villanueva C Jason Kendall Cardinals RF Skip Schumaker LF Chris Duncan 1B Albert Pujols CF Rick Ankiel 3B Troy Glaus 2B Adam Kennedy C Yadier Molina RHP Adam Wainwright SS Cesar Izturis
  7. Thats more like what I figured it should be. Thats why I asked where he got 11:1 because apparently I need to switch sportbookshttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. I sure would love to know where you bet through then because 11:1 on a 3 team parlay is a dream. Typical 3 team parlays pay about 6 :1 and I said his should pay about 7:1 because both the Brewers and Mets are underdogs tonight, but the over in the Brewer is game is -120
  9. I hope its tonights game. Got 11:1 odds that the brewers win with a combined score over 8 1/2, and the cubs lose. How in the heck did you get 11:1 odds for that? It should only be about 7:1
  10. This probably isn't a IGT post, but I didn't know where else to put it and I doubt it warrants a thread of its own. I just wanted to comment that I finished reading through the Haudricort/Witrado mailbag on jsonline and I can't believe the way those two approach the questions that are asked. Granted, there are some pretty dumb comments and questions in there, but there are also some legit points and questions being posed to them and they are answering many of them with sarcasm and almost combabtive type answers. Some questions are even asnwered with questions back from the two that are supposed to be supplying the answers. I guess what I am trying to say is, if all you are going to do in your mailbag is be insincere and for the most part sarcastic, why even do it? Did they go to the Ned Yost school of Q&A??
  11. I'm not going that far yet. I watched him go down hard in Los Angeles - to the point they were paying him several hundred thousand dollars per pitch. Bad stuff. But a good win today. Well I love him today! I think he is back.
  12. Or maybe he thought he was in bizarro world since off the plate has been a strike all day he figured down the middle was a ball http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  13. I think Kapler thought that was still a warm-up pitch because I dont know how else you let that one go by with 2 strikes
  14. It was a strike. A 96 mph knee high dart on the outside corner strike
  15. The problem is your assuming Suppan gets out of it. There was no guarentee of that. Yost brought in the guy that 99 percent of the time doesn't give up a HR in that situation (or at least shouldn't). He made the right move there. He put his team in the position to win the game! Shouse failed. Period. The guy gave up 3 hits in 6 2/3 innings, none of which were hit very hard. I'm comfortable with "assuming" Soup could have pitched out of it
  16. Yeah I think if he gave up back-to-back hits it would be a little more cause for concern. The guy tapped one just past JJ. I can see both sides of the arguement. And for the record I was not one of those guys you speak of from last year. I have never called him any names
  17. That is how Yost managed last year though and everyone exploded at him over it. Pitcher would be cruising, give up a couple bloop hits and one hard hit ball, Yost goes to bullpen which lets in runs and everyone says he is an idiot. There is a huge difference between between "giving up a couple of bloop hits and one hard hit ball" and having two outs with no one on and giving up a week grounder that JJ probably should have at least stopped. I'm not saying that I entirely disagree with the reasoning given the situation, but I think a good manager has a real feel for the game and would be able to tell that Soup was cruisng. Has still strong and had his command. And Ned has never had a feel for the game.
  18. Like I said before, the move may have been somewhat by the book based on the matchup, but does ned have any feel for the game. Soup was rolling and hadn't given up a hard hit ball for a long time. I think his performance today (not to mention his pitch count) should have allowed him the opportunity to work through that inning. No one was hitting him hard and his command was impeccable.
  19. Good to see that Prince is happy about striking out looking in a tie game in the 8th
  20. On paper that may have been the right move to bring in Shouse, but Ned has absolutely no feel for the game whatsoever
