  1. Nothing like being arrogant and combative when the move proved out to be right. Thank you
  2. Who is to say JJ doesnt hit into a DP? It was the right move who is to say JJ gets the bunt down. I guess this is a difference in baseball opinion. Mine is right and yours is wrong Whatever you say dude
  3. Who is to say JJ doesnt hit into a DP? It was the right move
  4. Not sure leaving 1st base open for Prince is a bad thing. The bunt was the right play there
  5. Sure hasn't helped Gross. Gwynn and Kapler were doing fine in their halves of the platoon. I guess I was including Gross as an everyday'er because has had to be lately and I was not including Kap and TGJ because they are hurt. It was just a generalization and an apparent poor attempt at some levity
  6. Apparently the only way you can hit is if you are not in the everday line-up keeping you from being infected by the funk
  7. In a related story, Danny Almonte is actually Tejada's son
  8. I'm listening on the radio and I am just curious - is the strike zone really that bad? Because neither Powell nor Ueck have made a single mention of it and Jim is usually pretty on top of things like that...
  9. I've been a Brewer fan for a long time and I don't ever remember feeling this hopeless when being down only 1 run
  10. Holy cow! That's brutal if he actually weighs 255
  11. "I'm not going to flip guys if they have a bad night or two bad nights or a bad week. I'm going to stay constant with what we're trying to accomplish." -Ned Yost Which is what, Ned?
  12. Its one thing that Gross is starting due to injuries. It befuddles me that Yost feels the need to bat him second. I'm sure JJ would be more than happy to fill the 2-hole for now
  13. I would agree - "fortunate" is probably a much better way to describe it
  14. Of course pitching numbers hav A LOT to do with it. I'm just saying that it is ridiculous to think that we can continue to put up the offensive numbers we have been and play .600 ball for any extended period of time. Unless you have yourself convinced that we are going to carry a team ERA of about 3. Do you really think if things stay what they have been that we will stay around .600? I think (and really hope) that we will be a good offensive team, but that ain't happenin right now! And of course all teams play bad teams. That goes without saying. But it helps the Brewers to look better right now when they have only played 13 games and 3 of the wins came against them. And I never said anything about the Cardinals. I don't think they will finish any where near where they are now.
  15. If you can take a good look at our offensive numbers and convince yourself that we truely deserve to be 8-5 and haven't been at all lucky to have a .625 win % at this point then you are a stronger fan than me. And we "beat the crap" out of a team that will be lucky to win 70 games this year
  16. I didn't want to say it, but seeing it has already been mentioned a couple times - I definitely thought Prince looked rather portly in that close-up shot of him
  17. That was actually a heckuva play by Dillon there. That was not an easy catch
  18. That might have been the worst excuse of a throw to the plate I have ever seen. I hope Dillon just had a bad grip on the ball and that his arm isnt really that bad!
  19. I like Gross, but I don't think I have seen him take a decent hack yet this season
  20. Joe Dillon was either a genius there or really lucky
  21. The only thing that is stupid is that Gross is still on the roster after 2 seasons. Dillon > Gross in both fielding and batting There is no doubt that Dillon can hit and Gross is no CF'er in my book, but Gabe is still a better OF'er than Dillon by a good margin
  22. Bushie's slurve or whatever you call it is nasty tonight
  23. Ha! I have my window open - I thought it was coming from my yard!
  24. So true! The pitch Rickie got rung up on went straight over the chalk of the inside part of the RH batters box. And that pitch to Ankiel being called a ball is an absolute joke
