  1. Thats ridiculous. When Sheets is healthy, he's in the same category as anybody
  2. I was wrong...again. I'm just not sure if facing Santana is the best thing for Prince with the way he looks at the plate right now. Watch, he will go 3-4 with a double and a bomb today (I hope)
  3. I wouldn't be all that surprised (or disappointed for that matter) to see Dillon get the start at first today so Prince can take the time to locate his swing, or his head, or both...
  4. Nice - good to know. And thanks. My buddy and I actually ran a softball team on tues nights in Altoona and you guys kindly sponsored us last year. Early on we came over there quite a bit on tues nights after our games to watch the Crew and have a few, but we kind of tailed off after that. Not sure why - I guess because most of us live on the south side. Its nice to know there is another bar or two in town that get the extra innings package because as I am sure you know there aren't too many options for sports bars in this town. I will definitely say hello next time I stop in there
  5. New York - The Brewers have no changes to their lineup for the game tonight against the Mets -- weather permitting that is. Here's the lineup: 2B Rickie Weeks CF Gabe Gross 1B Prince Fielder LF Ryan Braun 3B Bill Hall RF Corey Hart SS J.J. Hardy LHP Manny Parra C Jason Kendall In our afternoon session with manager Ned Yost, he said the Brewers have to start showing patience at the plate. The Brewers are last in the league in walks with only 17 through nine games. Braun, for instance has no walks in 40 at-bats. When Yost announced in spring training that Braun would bat behind Fielder, he said Braun must be patient when pitchers work around him. That isn't happening yet but Yost said it's too early to flip-flop Fielder and Braun into the spots in which they batted last season. So, that's the early news. The forecast isn't great so we'll see what happens. The Mets are taking BP now, so that's an encouraging sign.
  6. Hmm- I called them at like noon and the guy asked me if it was on FSN. I told him no and he said to let him check if they would still get it. He came back like a minute later and said that they would. I wonder if the people there just didnt know what was going on because the guy on the phone seemed to understand Like I said before, I went through the same thing with my local sports bar and the owner guaranteed he would get it and then I got there and he even showed me every chanel the Brewer game could have been on (including the Cinci FSN feed) and he didn't get it - they were all blocked out. Unless you get WMLW, I am quite sure you are screwed
  7. I would assume that you are in the same situation that I am here in Eau Claire. On tues I went to a local sports bar that gets every TV sports package available and found out there is no possible way to get the Brewer game outside of the Milwaukee market in WI when the Bucks are playing. The sports bar couldn't even get the game through the Cincinnati feed. The owner even called DirecTV and they said that we are SOL
  8. The scary part is that the Mets are actually favored
  9. Yes screwed you will be. Game is on WMLW and the Bucks are on FSN. Sweet. Thanks for the info. Sure is great being a Brewer fan here in eastern Minnesota aka Eau Claire, WI. Won't even get the Bucks game - not that I would watch it. Might get me some Kent Hrbek Outdoors though if I'm lucky!!
  10. This may have already been covered, but does anyone know if the TV situation for non-Milwaukeeans like myself will be the same tomorrow night as it was tues night - screwed?
  11. EVERYONE TAKE A DEEP BREATH! The game isn't over yet, but even if we do lose we are 6-3. I know - probably should take 2 out of 3 against the Reds at home, but we did face Cueto and Harang. IT WILL BE OKAY...
  12. Nice prediction And That... Gwynn still out vs. Reds By Anthony Witrado Wednesday, Apr 9 2008, 03:12 PM Tony Gwynn Jr. is still out of the lineup with a tight left hamstring against Cincinnati RHP Josh Fogg. Gabe Gross will play CF as the Brewers go for the series win with RHP Dave Bush on the bump. BREWERS 2B Rickie Weeks CF Gabe Gross 1B Prince Fielder LF Ryan Braun 3B Bill Hall RF Corey Hart SS JJ Hardy P Dave Bush C Jason Kendall REDS CF Corey Patterson 3B Ryan Freel RF Ken Griffey Jr 2B Brandon Phillips LF Adam Dunn SS Jeff Keppinger 1B Scott Hatteberg C Javier Valentin P Josh Fogg
  13. Amen to that! I've always liked the way that Kendall plays the game, but its ten-fold now
  14. Typically I would reserve any criticism oof Kapler because it is so early, but he has looked especially bad at the plate today
  15. I was just thinking that Soup was looking real good today until he threw a pitch that my sister could hit out of Wrigley to D LEE
  16. I think Bill Hall version 2006 is back!
  17. Eventhough Prince has 2 popouts today, he already looks better than he did monday
  18. Really glad FSN had no radar readings for the Sheets/Zambrano match up, but they have them for these two flamethrowers
  19. Haha! Deep Thoughts by Getpaddled
  20. I think Billy likes being back at 3rd! And I like him being there
