  1. Went with the Xoom. Thanks for the help guys!
  2. It's an honest question. As far as I knew, he sustained the injury the way I remember him stating it - swinging a bat without being warmed up to do so. Wasn't trying to condescend. Just seems like a silly reason to get hurt at the level he's at. To me, he definitely seems snake bit, or whatever a person could call it
  3. I was referring to when I saw him in January of this year at the On Deck event (which is what I posted earlier in this thread) where he appeared to be less than tip top shape. I was simply saying the guy seems to have a problem getting hurt at the beginning of ST. I have no idea as to the exact circumstances surrounding his injury last spring. I was just taking Gamel at his word. To be quite honest, I had no idea Haudricort had an opinion on him one way or another. Thanks for the condescension though
  4. Yes she basically wants to remote access her work computer. The cabin is on hwy 40 just south of Bruce, WI. What is Verizons LTE? Xoom?? Sorry, as you can plainly see I'm not very tech savvy but I knew there would be some fellow bfnetters that could help us make an informed decision. Thanks for the help so far thebruce and casey...
  5. Looks like Haudricourt claimed another victim. That's hilarious. I can see with my own eyes. I don't need a journalist to tell me what I saw. Not to mention Gamel himself admitted that's how he got hurt last ST - not warming up properly.
  6. My wife and I are considering getting an iPad 2 when it comes out next week. We own an answering service (her business, I'm not really involved) and she needs something for when we are out of town and the operators at her business get overwhelmed with calls so she can hop on their operating system to help out. The main reason the iPad would work is most times that we are out of town we are at the cabin, where we do not have internet available but can utilize the 3G connectivity (Verizon) of the iPad. It is my understanding that the original iPad would not work for the purpose she needs it for due to a problem with the keyboard automatically popping up while using her operating software. But we have been told the iPad 2 should take care of this problem. As you can see, I do not know much about iPads so I would appreciate anything you guys can tell me about them...likes/dislikes, pros/cons, data costs, contracts, etc. Thanks in advance
  7. Jim Powell Cory Provus is not
  8. And last year when he tore his lat by not warming up properly before hitting? How long do you have to play baseball before you figure out what it takes to get loosened up to swing a bat? I saw him in January. He didn't appear to be in much of any kind of shape.
  9. Looking forward to following along as Wolfy makes his first spring appearance. I'm expecting good things from him coming off a nice 2nd half last year! Big fan of Randy
  10. Brewer Fever - there are a couple threads in the off topic forum under the tag "grilling" that may be of interest to you. They have grilling favorites, ideas, recipes, etc...although lion steaks may be hard to top!
  11. Not to hijack the thread, but I'm curious about the disdain for Kotsay? I don't know a whole lot about him except he's somewhat versatile (corner OF, 1B)...
  12. Weird. I wonder what the issue was then. The user maybe ; )
  13. Anyone else have problems getting the Milwaukee feed on the MLB audio today? I got it on my At Bat app but on the computer it would only give me the Chicago feed eventhough it offered both. Typical early season glitches for MLB
  14. ST or not, McGehee has to love sticking it to the cubs...again!
  15. Just read on the Peanuts and Cracker Jack blog that there was a brawl in the Cubs dugout after the first inning. No additional details yet... Hilarious!
  16. Otherwise, I'm starting to think that they aren't giving him a shot, and he's just slated as insurance at AAA. I sure hope that isn't the case PEM
  17. 1. McGehee's defense will be much improved 2. Rivera wins the back up catcher position 3. DiFelice snags the final bullpen spot 4. We will see a new and improved Carlos Gomez 5. Betancourt is reinvigorated and plays above most peoples expectations
  18. Looking forward to Ueck and Provus keeping me company today at work via my At Bat app! Can't wait for some Yo! I really think the rotation to start the season will be Greinke, Marcum, Wolf, Yo (for the home opener), Narvey. And here's hoping Roenicke gives Rivera a start behind the dish soon. Would love to see him lock up that back up catcher spot.
  19. I still think DiFelice qualifies as a longshot though because depending on Hawkin's health, there may be only 1 bullpen spot up for grabs.
  20. I definitely disagree with the the sentiment that he's out of shape this year. I saw him at On Deck in January and he appeared to be in much better shape than the previous 2 years with the Brewers. I think we will see an improved defender this season
  21. Pretty pumped for Greinke's Brewers ST debut today! Bought the MLB At Bat app so I could follow along on my phone. I still can't believe how good our rotation is. Lead the way Zack!
  22. Thanks for the info fellas. At Bat sounds pretty sweet. Just wish I didn't have to pay twice for audio on my phone and computer...
