I actually had taken solace in the idea that if we got embarrassed all weekend some changes would come Monday. Now after Attanasio's comments I have basically lost all hope. I'm so negative right now I can't stand it. If we score more than 2 runs off Slowey I will be utterly shocked -
You said it TLB. Really stinks for Bushy. Really hope he can get his stuff back, but I have my doubts. On a semi-related note, I can sure see how macha got his reputation for not backing his players. Bush never says boo, but you could tell he was frustrated and Rapuano is the aggressor towards him and what does Macha do? Basically nothing. Yeah he went out there, but it was pretty much the same as always.

Macha sure seemed like a man resigned to the notion that he will be unemployed come Monday in his post game presser last night. He was even more befuddled than usual. I'm sure I am in the minority here, but at least for the remainder of the year I want Sveum to get the job. At the very least he seems to have the players respect and should be able to get max effort out of them eventhough we aren't going any where. Plus I think he's done a pretty darn good job as hitting coach. I do not want Willie but fear that is who it will be...

Per A.M.- As of 3:30 p.m. CT the Brewers have not made a formal roster move to activate Carlos Gomez from the 15-day disabled list, but he's in the starting lineup against the Twins for the opener of a three-game Interleague Series. Casey McGehee will serve as the designated hitter, a chance to rest his surgically-repaired knee. If that is the case, it makes me very concerned about Peterson. Vargas was terrific for us last year. Why not leave well enough alone?

Hasn't anyone else noticed the decrease in Claudio's velocity this year? Last year he was consistently hitting 93-94. I don't recall him throwing harder than 90 so far this year

I still think Vargy is hurt. His velocity has been down all year and he had that elbow issue early last season, for which he underwent that controversial therapy. I'm a big fan of the magic man

I would think with it just being Kottaras and him, lucroy will at least get semi regular playing time

They just mentioned on the post game that zaun will be heading back to Milwaukee to have his shoulder examined. I would think Lucroy is a comin?
