  1. Well I was excited to hear Edmonds was hitting for Hart there...now, not so much. Cmon Zaun!
  2. Sorry to say but I don't have much faith in us pulling this one out. And I'm with rluz on the Hoffman situation
  3. So... If we are leading by a run or 2 going into the 9th, do we go to Hoffman and if so, how nervous will you be?
  4. Today would have been a great day to do it. Day game after a tough loss the night before. Facing a LHP that has been very tough on him.
  5. Thank goodness Narvey has his pitch count somewhat under control now after the last 2 innings. It was looking like a very short outing for him during and after the 1st. Hopefully it was just nerves - I like Narveson
  6. I still say Hart should ONLY play when someone needs a day off.
  7. I posted this in last nights IGT but I figured I would move it over to here- I'm obviously concerned about Trevor, but I don't think it is hopeless. To me his stuff hasn't changed one bit - he's just not locating his fastball or getting ahead in the count. As he alluded to, its hard to get hitters to chase his change up out of the zone when he is behind in the count. He is no different than any other pitcher - he needs to get ahead to be successful. And when he starts getting ahead with well located fastballs he can get away from throwing so many fastballs and get back to throwing 30% change ups. His location and subsequently being behind is why he has already given up 5 HR's as compared to 2 all last year. Its not that he has all of a sudden forgotten how to pitch or his stuff has changed. I still think it was a bad idea to give him so little work in ST...
  8. Some uncharacteristically terrible at bats for Braun tonight
  9. Thought I would pass this along seeing there isn't a non-Brewers IGT tonight- Sheets line vs TB tonight: 4 IP, 9 H, 8 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
  10. I don't think he ever had a chance at that ball with how shallow he plays
  11. Big fan of Wolf's ability to buckle down with runners on.
  12. Edmonds is all over Karstens. McCutchen wears a huge glove
  13. I'm really surprised by the number of hard hit balls Wolf has given up to lefties so far this year. Nice bit with Ueck there. I wish him nothing but the best in his recovery. I don't think he ever makes eye contact with anyone though.
  14. I get that but Edmonds is 39 and is still smooth as silk out there. Plus I think Edmonds might still play a bit shallower than CarGo
  15. Anyone else love watching Edmonds play CF?! Invader - did Ichiro really say whats in your signature?
  16. Here's the line up if you are looking for it pretendastronaut: Weeks 4 Counsell 6 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Edmonds 8 Hart 9 Kottaras 2 Wolf 1
