  1. Yeah I was pretty much expecting it to be Villa too. Just wondered if anyone else had any insight
  2. Any guesses as to the player Macha may be referring to in this quote... There will likely be another player move today after the game against Cleveland and Macha said it could be the kind that upsets a player. “There’s probably going to be a lot of people not happy with me,” Macha said. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/88932082.html
  3. Got it now! Thanks for the help. Man hearing Ueck's voice on a rainy gloomy day like today is like music to my ears
  4. Anyone know why there isn't any audio? Even on brewers.com come it has a "Listen" link...
  5. I am a paid MLB audio subscriber (have been for 6 years) and I still can only get the MLB feed so that pretty much takes care of that theory
  6. I realize it goes silent in between half innings but I cannot get the WTMJ feed. I have tried several times
  7. I can't get the WTMJ feed either; just the MLB feed. Thats so lame that they drilled Prince. At least it was the soft tossing lefty
  8. Well, he was 0-4 for last night with 3 k's in a game where the vaunted JDLR was the starting pitcher. And he looked pretty pathetic in each AB
  9. I have absolutely zero problem with Hardy not being in the lineup! His OBP is now under .300 - I'm sorry, but that just ain't cuttin it!! Not to nitpick pretendastronaut, but the Brewers record is not 33-29
  10. I think there is something to be said for the amount of "diva" umps these days as well. Arguing balls and strikes is as old as the game of baseball and players used to get a lot more lee-way than they do now as long as they didn't show the umps up too bad. Not saying this is exactly the case here, but IMO you see WAY too many umps following players back toward the dugout after they have said their piece and antagonizing them. That is not right. And you would think Mike Cameron's sterling reputation would be taken into consideration here. To me it looked like Cam held his ground while he argued after being tossed and Hudson was the one that inched forward causing the "bump". Cam was having a bit of a rough stretch there and I am sure the frustration was mounting. I am not saying that excuses arguing to the point of being ejected, but it is no different than when you see umps having an off day and having a quick hook and tossing people with little provocation
  11. Hall shouldn't face anyone in that situation. Counsell had more hits in this series than Hall has had in his last 60 AB's
  12. While watching Indians highlights on Quick Pitch this morning this popped into my head and seemed to make some sense. Cleveland wants to unload payroll and stockpile some young inexpensive talent. Just a thought but I would be much more in favor of this than whatever it would take to get Peavy...
  13. Not that this is much of a response, but when he bounced to 2nd base last night to end the game he was absolutely screaming down the line. They got him by less than a step on a play where you would expect an average runner to be out by 3 or 4.
  14. For some reason today's loss was really hard on me. What a heartbreaker. I really thought JJ was going to at least tie it up. He was hot today and 4/7 career off Franklin going into that AB. Man I hate losing to the Cards. At least Pujols did nothing again and had a big E-3
  15. Thanks for the details on the Thurston "double" phx. As far as the Cards announcers go, I guess what we really need is a "true leader" like TLR to show us class by getting DUI's and allowing rampant steroid abuse to go on in the clubhouse
  16. For any of those you able to see that game, what happened on that ball Thurston hit that ended up being a double? Thanks in advance... southpaw - yes
  17. I think I remember. It seems we aren't doing anything as well as we once were since we lost Rickie. Manny is not a guy we can afford to have blunders behind and Counsell is not the guy you would expect one to come from. At least they only got the one. Not let's HIT THE BALL!!
  18. That is a big strikeout Manny! Way to get Pujols! Now get that DP ball EDIT: Thank you to Manny for getting the DP ball. No thank you to Counsell for throwing it away
  19. 20. 21. I hear what you are saying, but at the same time besides the pitch Cam K'd on they have been swinging at mostly good pitches and hitting them hard. Kendall excluded because he is a DP waiting to happen on the carpet
  22. I would imagine they are going up there hacking - Slowey doesn't walk many at all
