  1. After today and yesterday, I feel like any and every pitch could potentially be called a ball. Today is not nearly as bad as yesterday though - at least there is some consistency
  2. I know it stinks that we had an early lead and gave it up and also have blown several more scoring chances, but this game is far from over. Don't go anywhere folks!
  3. Wow - how the heck did Soup get that fastball past fontenot?
  4. I am glad Macha didn't use DiFelice last night as I am sure we will need him today. Macha=wise
  5. Speaking of butchers, whoever does the scoreboard up in the left hand corner for FS-WI is definitely one
  6. I sure would think so. I think Counsell even at least gloves it - not sure how fast Scales is
  7. Miles hit that hard but Hart looked like he was running in quicksand there
  8. Man JJ's range is not good. That ball bounced like 4 times on the SS side of 2nd base on a left handed hitter
  9. As much as I wish it weren't the case, I still think Hardy is a ways away from busting out. He just looks nervous/uncomfortable/defensive up there and it seems like he has been striking out quite a bit for him. Still not seeing the ball real well. That HR to right the other night had me feeling otherwise, but now I think it may have just been 1 good swing and thats it
  10. That did not seem like a ball that should have been a triple. Hart likes to take his time out there occasionally
  11. I am sure most of as had mothers that did their fair share of cleaning up after us while we were growing up...so in honor of that...let's SWEEP the Cubs out of town!!!
  12. I too am concerned about Cuzzi. We all know Soup needs the corners to pitch well - I just hope that plate doesn't get too tiny on him. At the very least, even if it is a tight zone, hopefully it will be a little more consistent last night. That was an absolute parody of umpiring
  13. Thought I would throw it out there seeing we are all well aware of Bill Hall's past Mother's Day heroics - he is a career .800 hitter off Marshall (4-5, 1 HR. 4 RBI)
  14. Brenly has such little self-worth after being shunned for what he considered to be the bottom of the barrel managerial job that he feels the need to criticize anyone and anything (besides the cubs) to make himself feel the least bit better
  15. That's awesome! No fight? Them's probably fightin words after a whoopin like that. Maybe they are plum out of fight?
  16. Here is the Brewers line-up per TH's blog (haven't seen a Cubs line-up yet) 2B Rickie Weeks RF Corey Hart LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron SS J.J. Hardy 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall RHP Jeff Suppan Wanted to get something going on here again. Let's make it a Happy Mother's Day all around and crack some long balls with that pink lumber and get the SWEEP!!
  17. Mitch Williams is a buffoon. He repeatedly claims that Braun should only see fastballs because he can only hit off speed stuff. C'mon Mitch, grow that nasty mullet back out and come give Braun some of that cheese that he can't touch. Would love to see it!
  18. Nite Owl is sort of like Kopp's; only its old school style
  19. Yeah I can't stand Cuzzi. There are always confrontations because his strike zone is so inconsistent and he is not one to shy away from it. Umps and their attitudes...ugh
  20. You have to subscribe to MLB Extra Innings to get the regional baseball games outside of your area
  21. Ol' Lou must be having a helluva time figuring out a lineup for tonights game with all the injuries - can't find the cub line-up any where yet
  22. I bet it was him. Were the kids boys? When I was at ST his 2 boys were out in the bullpen most of the time with Hoffman Brewers jerseys on
  23. I agree with you Gobias that Hall has not looked good the past few days, but I would be very surprised to not see him in there against a LHP tomorrow
  24. Man, if they drill Braun tonight, poop is gonna hit the fan
