  1. It will never cease to amaze me how people use the anonymity of the internet to say things they never would to someone's face. You're right - I would say much, much more to his face than I have or would on here
  2. That's got to be the winner!
  3. NOOOO! I am sick to my stomach. Poor Rickie. %#$#!
  4. Lookin' forward to that!!
  5. Just an FYI - the game is now showing up on my guide for DirecTv for tonight ch. 669 and 669-1 (HD)
  6. From the JS blog: Craig Counsell takes over as the leadoff hitter in place of injured Rickie Weeks and rookie third baseman Mat Gamel is getting his first big-league start tonight as the Brewers play their make-up game against the Cardinals. Counsell starts at second against RHP Kyle Lohse and Gamel is batting seventh. With the Brewers apparently preparing for a long absence by Weeks, they had Gamel out working early at third base and Casey McGehee at second. That might mean we're looking at a 3B platoon of Gamel and Hall and a 2B platoon of Counsell and McGehee. Gamel and Counsell bat from the left side; Hall and McGehee from the right side. With two lefties coming up in Houston, look for McGehee to play at second base. Haven't gotten an update on Weeks yet but you just get the feeling it's going to be bad news. Here's the lineup: 2B Craig Counsell SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Corey Hart 3B Mat Gamel C Jason Kendall RHP Braden Looper
  7. If nobody else can hook you up I can send you one. I had posted in the mag sched thread awhile back saying I had some if anyone needed one hoping I could send them all out at once. Like I said, let me know if you don't hear back from anyone else and I will send you one.
  8. Well, under the assumption that Weeks is ticketed for the DL (and I pray it is 15 days and he is good to go) my only concerns about Counsell playing every day is it wearing him down in turn diminishing his production and also his knee with the cartlidge tear in it. I wonder if it would become more of a problem with an increase in playing time. Doesn't seem to be bothering him much right now. I am glad to hear that it sounds like Hall will be staying put at 3rd and McGehee will get some PT against LHP. I think he will do fine with some regular AB's
  9. Nottso - yes, as you can imagine they can put away the dog food, although luckily Pyrenees as a breed have a pretty slow metabolism so he doesn't eat as much as you would expect a 130 lb dog too eat. Can't say the same about Harvey. If I had any photoshop skills I would gladly do it for you, but alas I don't. Love the name Clubber for a dog. Cracks me up every time I think about it
  10. Thanks for the links sargennm and PEM
  11. Is there anything more you can elaborate on about what Doug had to say sargennm? I have been checking all the sites and have yet to find anything...
  12. Sonuva...I just hope they are being overly cautious due to his past wrist/hand problems. Maybe he just tweaked and wants to make sure it is nothing serious and that he can't further damage it. IF it is a serious injury, I really think it would be a big, big blow to the offense. Hoping for the best Rickie!
  13. I never said it doesn't happen at times to other pitchers - that goes without saying. Just seems to happen to Manny a lot and it is not enjoyable watching him walk people with a 4 run lead when he had been cruising up to that point
  14. I was referring to the fact that he was absolutely cruising with a PC in the low 70's going into that inning and then he has an inning like that. It just comes out of nowhere. And Macha is a very good manager imo. Not too many things he has been doing haven't worked out well and he has good reasoning behind what he does
  15. Nice job of getting out of that with no further damage Manny. It helps to throw strikes
  16. Probably the fact that he has amazing stuff but yet still has a hard time getting deep into games
  17. Ennder your staunch support for Manny is well known. I think the reason he frustrates many of us so much is that he has the potential to be so good. And for me most of the pitchers between '90-'00 didn't frustrate me as much because typically the expectations for the team weren't real high And I think the comment after the Molina AB probably stemmed from how Manny has had problems in the past - not just from the 2 AB's in that inning
  18. I do not like hearing the words Rickie Weeks and sore wrist in the same sentence
  19. Real nice start boys! Way to not let them off the hook after Prince K'd on a ball! Hopefully Manny takes this lead and cruises
  20. When they show the commercial for FS-WI with Davey Nelson where he says, "I'm Davey Nelson and you are watching Fox Sports Wisconsin" it always makes me wonder how many takes they had to do for him to get that sentence out cleanly...
